This is a mediocre lodging but I keep coming back.
Pros:

Nice bed, quiet room. Easy on-site free parking.

Cons:

Bathtub stopper was not repaired after inquiry. No washing machine on property.

Conveniently located for easy access to Venice Pier, affordable local eateries and a 7/11.
Pros:

They must keep records because they assign me the same room every time. It is spacious and has a refrigerator and coffee maker but no microwave. The location is a straight shot down Venice Blvd to Venice Pier to the West, or a short shot East to 7/11 for supplies and a popular and affordable Mexican restaurant. Going East to 7/11, you'll pass several nice restaurants and bars. Going West down to Venice Pier during the day, you might find scooters for rent just about anywhere. I found a Bird scooter and rode it all the way from Venice Pier North through the cultural wilds of Venice Beach up to Santa Monica Pier. I got the feeling I'd done this more than once before but it was great to be out in the sun and the breeze without endless schlepping. Street access to the property is a bit awkward for taxis and buses but I think that's why it's so quiet and inexpensive despite its central location.

Coming back from Santa Monica to Venice Pier in the evening is problematic, as the scooters go offline at a certain time of day. You may have to walk all the way to Venice Pier, where you can find scooter parking areas just off the beach and ride one East back to 7/11 for supplies and/or dinner, then back West to the Jolly Roger.

The Jolly Roger has been my go-to Venice locale for decades. It is walking distance to the venerated Canals if that's what you want to see on a given day.

Cons:

My only complaint is that the outdoor sauna has been shut down since the 2020 COVID pandemic. It is situated on the second floor, which affords privacy and night skyline views in the middle of the suburban surroundings. I hope someday they will reopen it once COVID fatigue sets in.

Z moich całych wakacji w Kalifornii jest to zdecydowanie najgorszy hotel w jakim byłem. Nie ma basenu, jest sadzwka na skrzyżowanie pośrodku parkingu, brudna nawet nie w koło budynku gdzie są pokoje tylko po drugiej strony ulicy. Nie ma śniadań bo był kiedyś co id i już nie robią (ale jak rezerwujesz to śniadania są w ofercie). Łóżko King size jest zwykłym double. Łazienka mała, pokój brzydki, pościel i ręczniki nieswieże koloru kremowego. Obsługa pcha się do pokoju mimo iż wie że w nim jesteście i coś robicie. Wielkie oszustwo to nie jest żaden standard, nie powinni mieć żadnej gwiazdki. Do tego jest bardzo drogi.

Pros:

Good location and price to value ratio. Easy access to car rental (one block). Buses to Santa Monica and to Airport are nearby. Shops are in 20 min walking distance. Beach 30 min walk. Venice is 20 min walk.

Cons:

Wifi was slow in my room. Many things were broken in the room. Weekend staff was a bit phlegm.
