It was horrible!

The breakfast was good. We liked our balcony once we moved.

Cons:

We are seniors and do not drink. They put us in the first room on the first floor right by the large outdoor bar area. We dropped off our bags and went to sit outside and have a juice. Then a cat came running out, and it’s hanging around our patio. I am extremely allergic to cats, and was told the cat ‘lives’ there. We picked up our juices and went to the far side of the courtyard, by the restaurant. We sat down at a table for two. I took one sip of my drink when the chair flew backwards, slamming my head, elbow, and hip into the cement floor! It must have momentarily knocked me out, because I remember screaming and then there were three people trying to lift me off the ground. When they got me up, all the employees saw that the cement floor starts sloping down there, right where they had set the chair! I didn’t move the chair, the hotel had it set it there by the table! My head hurt for days, I had a knot on my elbow, and a few bruises on my arm. They finally agreed to move our room. The next day my husband told them I was very stiff and sore, and asked if they could comp me a massage. This incident was entirely due to negligence on the part of the hotel. The manager was only willing to offer me $5.00 off the price of the massage! They did absolutely nothing to compensate me for my pain and discomfort. The staff members were wonderful, but management was awful! And, there is no hot water in the showers.

For a quick one night stop, it did the job!
Pros:

Bar and evening waiting staff were lovely . Great to have a welcome drink.

Cons:

Breakfast was pretty awful and the breakfast staff were unbelievably miserable! No need for it - I would be giving them some customer service lessons if they were in my team!

Best place to stay in Chitre, but outdated

It’s the best hotel in Chitre, good pool, next to Riba Smith

Very quiet room. No issues sleeping.
Pros:

Very quiet room after 6pm and really loud fan in the bathroom to mask hallway noise at night. Most staff were excellent.

Cons:

One staff member had a condesending attitude on the front desk. Food was nothing special.
