Third party rental of beach equipment is annoying
They are the worse people and accommodation ever! It is dirty and very small. The pictures are not TRUE. Completely different. Everything is old and dirty.
It started with finding a massive amount of ants in the room around day 4, and then finding an entire termite infestation on day 5. We contacted the hotel staff about the issue and they couldn’t offer much beyond changing our sheets due to the termite landing on them. The amount flying around our room was uncomfortable to say the least, and rather disgusting to say more. We had several other issues (dirty foot print on the sheets when we first arrived at a ‘clean’ room, only one of 3 grill actually functioning, etc) and the termites were just a final straw. When we asked for a number to talk to corporate about the experience they gave it only when we went in person to the office so they could also sign us up for yet another owners meeting to get us to buy more points. This has been a deeply disappointing experience.
My son and I stayed here May 1-8th in a 2 bedroom unit. I AM a Wyndham property owner but paid full price for this week. My son and I have stayed here before and liked that visit. We were celebrating my 70th birthday and were hoping for a good stay.
Check in went well. We were checked in by a very nice lady named Gloria. She is and was a delight to deal with. We would stop in just to say hello to her.
We then met with Colleen who is a rep for Wyndham who set us up for "an update". To us, this is a waste of time, but we made an appointment and went to it as we promised.
The resort unit was definitely dated and showing its age. FYI, this resort DOES NOT HAVE AC. Don't gripe about this fact. Be an educated traveler and check with the resort you are looking at to see if they have the accommodations you desire. I read people's comments about there not being AC at this resort, but there are many reviews that state this fact.
The unit was 'clean enough' not to start bickering about it with The Front Desk. The kitchen had basic cooking items, glasses, silverware and a small amount of dishwasher and washing detergent. The Front Desk will give you more if you need it.
The master bedroom's bed was a little uncomfortable, but tolerable. There was a full tub in the bathroom but it had a terrible showerhead. There is PLENTY of closet space. The washer and dryer are outside of the bathroom in their own little utility room. I would have preferred them to be inside the unit like Wyndham Bali Hai but its not a game changer.
The blackout curtain are another issue. When closed it looks like a crime scene. It reminded me of blood splatter patterns. They definitely need to be replaced. The carpet is showing a moderate amount of wear.
My son's room was VERY HOT at night even with 3 fans.
Parking is free but can be limited at night if the resort is full. I had to park 3 buildings down from my own 3 times during my week stay because we arrived back at the resort after 9pm. Just be aware of this for handicap individuals. The do have designated handicap spots but they are usually one per building.
Wyndham Ka Eo Kai is my second choice if Bali Hai is full. Would I return, sure.
The pool area was nice; however, the hot tub was non-functional until the last day of our trip. Additionally, the pool was unheated until the last day of our stay.
The room was very small and dated. The advertised square footage included the outdoor patio. The 350 sq ft advertised was actually 250 sq ft of living space. Very, very tight for 2 adults. This was our second stay at the facility (2022). The staff treated us differently this time around as were not Wyndham members. Be prepared to rent beach equipment and purchase towels as needed.
Definitely spring for the one bedroom it has a wrap around deck and is about 4 times the size of the studio and includes a kitchen. I was lucky enough to have an ocean view it was amazing. Close to great walking trails.
Windows and deck needed a little work but they are set to remodel this year. The hot tub was out of order during my stay.
This stay was a major disappointment. I want to start by saying the housekeeping staff — especially Sarah — was the only bright spot of this entire experience. She was friendly, helpful, and immediately brought fans to help cool the room. The front desk texting system also worked well.
Everything else? A letdown.
The room felt like stepping into a time capsule of broken furniture and neglected maintenance. The bed was so old the mattress slid off the box spring, the outlets couldn’t hold a plug, the table wobbled like it was held together by hope, and the shower was so tight it felt like a phone booth.
But the worst part was the complete lack of solutions. When I asked for a bigger, better bed, I was told there were no rooms available — meaning I had to check out and scramble to find another resort. After all that, I was denied even a small discount for the inconvenience and told to “call Resort Condominiums International.” That’s not hospitality. That’s indifference.
I came all the way to Kauaʻi and expected at least average accommodations. Instead, I got outdated rooms, no solutions, and zero accountability. I would not recommend this property until they invest in real upgrades and treat guests’ concerns with more respect.
Clean and well kept
Location of room was by the road snd noisy
L’appartement était très spacieux
Manque d’insonorisation entre les appartements.on entendait les voisins parler.
Location was great. Poll access was great.
The room was very dated (I know renovations are imminent). But there were many things that were just barely functional - the bathroom sliding door to the outside had to be picked up to be locked, etc.
The floors were dirty. The curtains were stained and moldy. The living room furnishings were very uncomfortable.
If we hadn't gotten such a good deal on it, I would be mad. But I figured there had to be a catch and we were very last minute booking.
The people were very nice and kind. The club is good with different facilities we really enjoyed our stay !
Nothing
Beautiful facility, clean rooms, nice pool. And, staff is very helpful !
Emplacement top pour visiter le nord, proche de Hanalei notamment. La piscine était très agréable!
Les chambres sont très mal isolées. Nous avions l'impression d'être dans la même pièce que nos voisins...
The grounds were well maintained. The one bedroom unit was very large. The extra large deck offered a 180 degree view.
A little outdated but renovations are planned.
