Just had a wonderful 9night stay in this fantastic hotel. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. The rooms had a superb view over the ocean where you could watch the beautiful sunsets on the balcony. You could also dine & indulge the electric atmosphere with great food- a la carte, buffet or tapas. The hotel also held two lively Polynesian shows a week which portrayed the French Polynesian islands character perfectly. I can't wait to return here, but need to save my money as l found it quite expensive!
Location was not very good for activities or access to Papeete. Beach not very pretty. Decent food, very good buffet breakfast. Spacious rooms, but a bit run-down. Had an ant problem in our room. No concierge on duty Sunday or Monday, which is totally unacceptable at a hotel of this cost. When I complained to the General Manager, Christophe Guardia, he was very rude and tried to stare me down. Rather than apologize he told me I should have planned my trip better. Also told me to "get to the point" and "stop wasting his time" when I was trying to explain my dissatisfaction. The one activity they booked us on did not include lunch as promised (no food for 8 hours) and put us in an unsafe tour vehicle with a dangerous driver; we almost went over a cliff. Mr Guardia did not care. It was also very apparent that his staff was terrified of him. Please avoid this hotel at all costs. Want to be clear that staff was helpful and kind, even though poorly trained. All problems 100% fault of nasty GM who clearly hates Americans.
Stayed April 19-21
Nice property.
Good breakfast buffet.
Lunch and dinner overpriced and edible, but not great.
Kind staff.
Black sand beach for lovely views, but I would not swim in the water.
Dated rooms
ONE restaurant
Good stopover for ONE no more than two nights.
I would NOT recommend this hotel for a lengthy stay.
Food was amazing.
Staff truly wonderful
Nothing. Everything was awesome
Gorgeous property, grounds were lovely, pool and restaurant was great. Right on the beach! Spacious rooms too.
I’m surprised that there aren’t any more bad reviews. The buildings are falling to pieces, lightbulbs inside the pool are dangling from their sockets, paint is peeling and bubbling and cracking everywhere, there’s even big spots of mold on the walls and ceiling in the dining room, right over the service counter. We had reserved one of their higher floor « deluxe » suites, which ended up being moldy and dirty. After seeing the general state of the place we didn’t dare take the elevator and stuck to the stairs out of safety concerns. Avoid that place, seriously. Our goal was to pleasantly extend our stay in Tahiti… but we couldn’t wait to leave that place. Staff is kind and sweet, but that’s the only positive thing we noticed.
Booked for 3 days prior to joining a cruise. We had a bed and breakfast option. After a journey of over 24 hours we finally made it. had read the mixed and had an open mind.
We had a suite on the 5th floor overlooking the pool and beach. Large bedroom, living room, bathroom, a second separate toilet and a large balcony with 2 sunbeds, 2 chairs and a table. The place was perfect for us.
The beds were comfortable and we had no problems sleeping.
The pool was quite large and varied in depth in places. It was never packed and perfect for a spot of swimming or just floating around.
The breakfast was buffet style although there was an egg station where I ordered an omelette (ham, cheese and onion) it was perfectly cooked. She would also do pancakes. There was plenty of choice for breakfast - cold meats, cheese, yoghurts, fruit as well as scrambled eggs and sausages (plus the aforementioned omelettes). Along with the coffee and juice I had plenty of choice.
As the hotel was a bit secluded we eat our evening meals at the hotel as well. There seemed to be fairly wide choice and we thought the food tasty and plentiful although not cheap but not exorbitant.
All the staff were very friendly and cheerful. Their English was certainly better than my French (the main language there).
The beach was a very short walk from the pool and is black volcanic sand. The beach was never crowded and made for a pleasant walk, paddle or swim.
Overall the hotel was a bit dated and needed a bit of attention, although there was some work being done while we were there. As mentioned by others there were some small tiles missing from the pool but it did not affect using it.
We both agreed that the pros definitely outweighed the few cons and we both agreed if we should ever come back we would stay here again.
I cannot comment on the price of the hotel as it was part of a overall package that included 3 hotels, a cruise as well as flights.
The staff definitely lifted the hotel and we found them all a real bonus.
The size of the room, the proximity of the pool and restaurant
The twin bed is a sofa cushion
I had very low expectations for a resort buffet, but this was honestly one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time.
The food was extremely disappointing across the board. Most of the dishes looked like they had been sitting out far too long, and nothing tasted fresh. The hot items were lukewarm and lacked flavor, and even the “local” options — which I was most excited to try — were underwhelming and poorly prepared. I ended up eating plain rice because it was the only thing that felt remotely safe and edible.
For the price, this was completely unacceptable. The quality of the food did not come close to matching the setting or the expectations for a resort in Tahiti.
The show itself was enjoyable, but the buffet was truly awful and took away from the overall experience. I would strongly recommend skipping the dinner portion and just coming for the performance if possible.
Breakfast was a great selection of fruits , juice fresh bakery items waffles pancakes eggs cheeses meats plus more
The Resort was not full so we had easy access to all the facilities and restaurant. The room was amazing and large. It was about 20 minutes from the airport so easy to get to the hotel after arriving late.
Great location with access to a wonderful beach and snorkeling
There are no coffee shops, restaurants or grocery stores nearby so you eat all your meals at the hotel
War sehr schön, doch der Preis für das Frühstück stimmt nicht mit dem Angebot überein. Teuer!
We had an exquisite room. Very clean and comfortable. Beautiful views of the resort, pool, and beach!
