Country break at Wivenhoe House Hotel, Colchester.
Pros:

We liked the location, the staff were very accommodating, efficient & friendly. The food was plentiful hot & lovely (probably the best I’ve had in an English hotel 🏨)! Our room (superior balcony) was lovely too!

Cons:

Nothing really it was all very good :).

Personally I refer memory foam pillows for good neck support. I mentioned to reception who said he would inform management.

The staff were so welcoming and attentive. The room was, crisp, classy and clean (we loved having a bath in the bathroom). And the food was delicious. It's the best hotel we've stayed in for a long time!

Cons:

That we had to go home

A lovely venue but more attention to detail required.
Pros:

The staff were great, very friendly and helpful, breakfast was good although the toaster in use did not work properly. One slot burnt one side of the bread despite the staff adjusting the toaster. I would suggest having two toasters that work properly. The normal toaster had been moved for an event happening elsewhere in the hotel.

Cons:

The room we had was the Boudicca Suite which was more costly than most of the other rooms. I was dissapointed that theere were dead bugs on the window sill adjacent to the bed and the window in the bathroom was not clean. There was also quite an unsightly stain on the small couch at the end of the bed. I also noted that the doors on the room, which are fire doors, had a significant gap at the bottom which let in the light from the hallway. The only other thing was that the curtains in the bay window were not fitted to the rail properly and drooped. Better attention to maintenance and cleaning would have made the room feel like it was worth the money.

Pros:

Beautiful grounds, room was absolutely massive we stayed in the Hilton suite.

Food at the brassie was amazing - best burger ever.

Cons:

The only tiny thing was the chrome cast didn’t work in the room, so tv options were limited but nothing that affected our stay.

Pros:

Ruhige Lage, gutes Essen. Parkplätze sind vorhanden.

Cons:

Leider war es nicht möglich, mit Bargeld zu bezahlen. Die Preise für die Zimmer und die Übernachtungskosten für ein Haustier sind recht hoch.

Heerlijk verblijf @Wivenhoe😀👍
Pros:

Prachtig, in country side, gelegen hotel. Prima faciliteiten. Mooi tuinen. Goed ontbijt😀👍

Cons:

Thank you

Beautiful and historic hotel with exceptional staff.
Pros:

Everything was excellent especially the staff who were engaged, extremely helpful and friendly. A great atmosphere all round.

Cons:

We were very impressed with the location, the rooms and the restaurant. Our only vague dislike was the hot buffet breakfast, but easily compensated by ordering from the kitchen where breakfast was fantastic!
