Pros:

The surroundings, it was a very nice University site. The lakes and the trees where nice, good walks. breakfast was ok and the dinner also. View of the terrace: astounding.

Cons:

some roads wrew only for buses, our navigation got confused, t get out of the campus was a problem.

Prima verblijf!
Pros:

Mooie ligging @campus Essex University. Gemiddeld genomen mooie kamers, met name de kamers in de nieuwbouw ‘annex’. De ‘klassieke’ kamers in de ‘oudbouw’ zijn m.i. kwalitatief iets minder

Cons:

De ‘klassieke’ kamer in de ‘oudbouw’ is, helaas, vrij gehorig.

Was OK. Could be so much better without a lot of effort.
Pros:

Fresh milk in room. Clean. Beds OK. Staff in dining room friendly.

Cons:

Pillows were awful. Bedroom very hot despite fans.
No Netflix in room. Staff uninformed re parking at EV points.
Bit of a disconnect between the job and staff knowledge generally.

Lovely staff, comfortable rooms, good food.
Pros:

The location was great for an event we were going to at the University of Essex. But once you were there it felt like you were in the countryside.

Cons:

Nothing.

Clean, comfortable and stylish.
Pros:

I stayed in the Hilton room. It was really stylish, comfortable, clean and cool during the hot weather.

Cons:

The roll top bath could do with a separate shower head for rinsing before you get out.

Great hotel. Staff were awesome. I would definitely stay again
Pros:

The staff were great - so friendly and helpful. Location was excellent.

Cons:

We were staying at the hotel as my daughter was attending a gymnastics competition nearby. Breakfast opened at 8am, we needed to leave by 8.15am. It would have been helpful if breakfast could have started earlier. Also i found the bed a little uncomfortable.

Pros:

The venue and house is nice.

Cons:

They should have told us before booking that there was going to be a prom full of children. We were stuck in traffic for around 40 minutes. The room was so hot that we couldn't sleep and overpriced for a poor view and ventilation.
