We stayed at this Property for our 50th Anniversary Weekend, at our first beach in New Jersey since relocating from Virginia. Think of it as a boutique property. Really convenient to everything at Long Branch Beach. First a shout out to Guest Experiences Manager Kate Fowler who took care of helping us with reservations to multiple events and stayed in touch throughout. She was awesome. Always friendly, courteous and helpful. Next Front Desk Nicole who went way beyond to ensure we had a wonderful stay, with directions, advice and was a huge reason for a great stay. She is a keeper and will help with anything you need. She woks the afternoon shift and even though the peak check-in, will take her time toexplain everything in great detail. The Property is easy to find and with a convenient initial park at the back of the hotel, then the card to enter the garage right behind with free in/out parking included in your daily rate. Having covered parking on hot days is a must (PS if you check out, you can park in the 30 minute parking spots until you leave).
Another tip, don't struggle with the trolley trying to enter the Hotel as there is a slight bump in the rear door to negotiate. Just go Infront and pull your trolley and it's much easier to enter. The lobby is fab and has entertainment for all. From a pool table, to soccer table and comfortable seating. Its where breakfast pastries and coffee/tea is provided and has a small bar. There is one elevator given the size of the Property but access using the stairs is easy. Rooms are spacious, housekeeping is done daily and there is little you need once in your rooms. Now another tip. Your stay allows access to the WAVE resort and to its private beach, pool and gym. You have to show your room key and will be issued armbands. Note that it's a 10-15 minute walk and not immediately close by but well worth the visit. Alex Warren manages the Property and is really helpful to show you around. From the Hotel it is a block to the Pier Shopping Center and the most awesome restaurants around. The beach is clean and so is the boardwalk. Book early and Kate can help with suggestions. Wonderful stay at this Property and we plan to return again and again.
I recently stayed at The Bungalow for a work trip, and the experience exceeded every expectation. The rooms were incredibly spacious, spotless, and filled with natural light. I loved the mini‑kitchen, the huge windows, and the cozy fireplace... thoughtful touches that made the space feel both comfortable and functional. The robes were plush, and the room slippers were honestly the best I’ve ever had at any hotel.
Although The Bungalow isn’t directly on the beach, it was perfect for a work stay, and having full access to all the amenities at the beautiful Wave Resort was a huge bonus.
One thing that really stood out was how efficient the housekeeping team was. We arrived early, and our rooms were already ready. Even on the day I checked out, I noticed several guests arriving around noon and immediately receiving their rooms. That level of organization is rare and so appreciated.
They also offer a complimentary glass of prosecco at check‑in. I don’t drink, but it’s a lovely touch for those who do.
Parking was easy and reasonably priced, with a dedicated section of the garage reserved for hotel guests, another detail that made the stay smooth and stress‑free.
But the absolute best part of my stay was the front desk staff. Everyone was warm and welcoming, but Kate was truly exceptional. She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful in a way that went above and beyond. Her kindness and professionalism made a huge impact on my stay. She is top‑notch and the best!
I could not have been more impressed with The Bungalow, and Kate made the experience unforgettable.
Hotel was ok but expected more at 1,000 a night. Paint peeling off from bathroom ceiling. Room was clean but dated. Impossible to get in touch with hotel to ask for an early check in. Front desk people seemed like they rather not be there. Overall an ok place but they could do better. At the $1,000 a night rate - I really was underwhelmed.
Clean, well maintained, very comfortable room, location.
No complaints
There’s nothing like staying at the beach at a beautiful boutique hotel that Appears to have recently been renovated. The rooms are spacious clean modern with a really nice beach vibe. The staff is kind An eager to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. You feel like you’re staying at your own beach house with coffee and tea in the morning and great delicious pastries!
So close to the beach and pier village
Location great
Bagels would be nice in the am
Great location close to beach/boardwalk. Excellent amenities for the Kosher traveler. Morning coffee and pastries are included in the resort fee and are kosher but not cholov yisroel. I suggest they get the pastries from Bubbis in the Wave which would satisfy all kosher guests. We took advantage of the Wave amenities such as beach chairs and umbrella which was not crowded even though both properties were sold out that night.
Hotel is updated and clean and all staff were very friendly. We did hear footsteps at 3am from the room above us which I doubt happens often and was just bad luck.
I like the wave better because of the balcony and ocean view but I’d stay here again if the wave is sold out or it’s significantly cheaper. Beautiful property and service 5 stars.
Love the location , the room is huge and immaculate
The Bungalow hotel was a wonderful place to stay. The staff were friendly and professional.
Kate the manager, Lynn and Nick were great!

Everything was great!
Location great
Breakfast could of have bagel’s :)
The room was beautiful
Never stay at this hotel! Because the owner and staff are black racists. At the slightest misunderstanding, they call the police and throw white customers out into the street.
We booked 3 rooms for two nights, including the 2-bedroom suite, for 8 of us to celebrate a birthday. The Bungalow is now our go-to hotel in Long Branch, a city we visit regularly. The front desk staff were all warm, friendly, and exceedingly helpful and generous. Check-in and all communications before and during our stay were perfect--easy and professional. The lobby is unique, with all kinds of things to see and do, including a small bar and breakfast area, where we sat for complimentary coffee and pastries each morning. The hallways are stunning--serene, immaculate, simple, with tasteful sculptures and paintings. The 2-room suite is beautiful, perfect for a large gathering, with seating for at least 6 at the beautiful glass-topped table and another 8 or so in the lovely, large, very comfortable living room with its fantastic fireplace. Two separate bedrooms make sharing perfect (although the second bathroom is in the main room, not en suite). The other two rooms were also perfect, each with a fireplace and a seating area and small table. The women who cleaned the rooms were very kind and helpful, giving us extra garbage bags and towels as needed for our small party. We could not have been happier here, and we will return!
Corner suite is perfect for family, with two king beds and comfortable sheets/duvets! We could even see the ocean. The deep soaking tub is amazing and there was plenty of hot water. Loved the Malin&Goetz products, as well as the bath salts and tub shelf to hold your wine glass.
Tons of closet space, a fridge and microwave.
Everyone loved the bathrobes!
A couple details would make this place amazing: some utensils and plates, enough mugs for a family, a smart tv you could cast to instead of old fashioned cable.
There’s a limited continental breakfast but by the time we came downstairs at 9am, there was no more coffee. We tried to ask for more but the attendant disappeared at that point.
Resort fee - just why? Build it into the price if you need to but silly to pay for pool etc at sister hotel in the middle of winter.
