Wouldn't mind coming back - we liked the location, area of town and size of the room.
Pros:

Location is quite central and nice, sufficiently close to the old city and parks and in a quiet, lovely neighbourhood. Also easy to walk into town, some 10 minutes to reach the nearest bridge to from where the old city starts. Or take one of the buses (several lines) that stops in front of the hotel. It is a bit too far to walk from the train station to the hotel, and there are no shops nearby. A great dinner place next to the hotel is Uptown.
Note this is the guesthouse of the hotel, which is separate from the hotel's main building (of classic architecture, where the reception desk is and breakfast is served). The guest house is a large multi-room building in a quiet side street around the corner. Staying in the guest house has more of an AirBnB feel to it but with less amenities. No other way to reach reception than to walk over the the main hotel (also reception closes over night).
Our room was really large and with high ceilings (fab!!), a bay window) and sun-lit. Decor was okay, more for utility than beauty. All bit dated but accurately maintained. If one is after a retro 70s/80s feel - this is perfect (also small quirks like the bathroom window 'handle' which is fun). Seating and beds were very comfortable, good sized wardrobe with hangers, good ceiling lights, small bed and desk lamps and a couple of spare sockets which was great. TV sat on the table near the window, which was interesting but it was possible to watch whilst relaxing in bed after long days out. We didn't try the wifi, and had breakfast in town. Bathroom okay, not too luxurious, with hair dryer and generic soap dispensers.

Cons:

Unfriendly staff at the reception desk, all three people we met. May be just bad luck but it made us feel unwelcome. Spoiled the chic vestibule for us, we just wanted to leave quickly every time and didn't even take pictures, less so were we tempted to sit down. Definitely something that could be improved.
There is no cleaning on any day if staying several nights, unless requested a day in advance.
In the room there was no information about the hotel in the room, emergency numbers or so, which was unexpected. No kettle, no fridge, no complimentary bottled water (but mini-packs of haribos on the bed :) ).
Cleaning could be better - there was some mould in the shower tiles. Step-in shower cubicle was quite small for people of regular and large body size, and with a textile shower curtain - bit unexpected these days but okay for a short stay.
They don't have a room where one can leave luggage for a couple of hours, so we used a facility in town.
The main building might be better for accessibility needs, there was at least a ramp. The guest house entrance has a small flight of stairs.

Altmodisch und etwas teuer, aber dafür ruhig und im Villenviertel!
Pros:

Sehr freundliches Personal im Haupthaus, kostenloser (!) Parkplatz direkt vor dem Haus, große ruhige Zimmer. Toplage außerhalb der Wälle. Zentrumsnah zu Fuß oder mit dem Rad.

Cons:

Mobiliar etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Kein Kühlschrank und kein Balkon. Hauseingang war schmutzig und voller Spinnweben.

Ich werde dieses Hotel sicher nicht nocheinmal buchen!
Pros:

Die Lage war sehr gut, der Rest stand in keinem Verhältnis zum Preis.
Das Bett war bequem, ansonsten war das ganze Mobiliar überaltert und die Ausstattung mäßig. Im Bad, sehr klein, keine Lüftung.
Einziges Highlight war der Vergrößerungsspiegel.

Das Haus hat schon bessere Tage gesehen

Satellitenfernsehen hatte immer Störungen. Baustelle vor der Tür machte Schlafen ab 7 Uhr morgen unmöglich In der Buchung wurde mir Gartenblick und Erdgeschoss bestätigt, tatsächlich war es zur Straße direkt am Parkplatz und eher Hochparterre, man musste eine Treppe hoch. Das schlimmste aber war das Bad vom Zimmer 54.. dass es kein Fenster und auch keine Abluftabsaugung gab ist das eine, aber dass die Fugen in der Dusche extrem verschimmelt sind, geht m.E. gar nicht. im Nachhinein hab ich gesehen, dass genau dies schon in einer Bewertung vor 2 Jahren negativ bewertet wurde und dort wurde Abhilfe versprochen. Entweder nur Leere Versprechungen und/oder eben ein echtes Problem vermutlich wegen der fehlenden Abluft und mangelnder Reinigung. Denn man bezieht sich auf Nachhaltigkeit, dass die Zimmer nicht mehr täglich gereinigt werden.. nun ich kann auf tägliches Betten machen verzichten, und ich brauche auch nicht täglich frische Handtücher. Die Entsorgung des Mülls und das entfeuchten des Badezimmers hat für mich aber nichts mit Nachhaltigkeit zu tun. Im übrigen gibt es im Gästehaus kein Personal. Man muss, wenn etwas ist, ins Hotel. Keine Mini bar oder Kühlschrank vorhanden, keine Möglichkeit Tee oder Kaffee zu kochen. In der Preisklasse bin ich anderes gewohnt.
