Awesome staff, very friendly and helpful. Shout out to Tara and May, 8th Floor reception. Always smiling and going out of their way to help this old traveller.

Top-Tier Stay in Yangon - Breakfast Buffet a Must
Pros:

I had a wonderful stay at the PARKROYAL Yangon and would highly recommend it, especially for its central location and thoughtful accommodations.

This is perhaps one of the few premium hotels that are still considerate to smoking patrons, offering both smoking rooms and clearly designated smoking spaces in the outdoor areas, which is exactly why I selected it.

My room was situated on the 3rd floor, which was incredibly convenient as it offered direct access to the pool. The room itself was immaculately clean, spacious, and modestly comfortable, providing a great base for my time in the city.

The service here is truly standout. A special mention must go to Yar Zar at the front desk, who was incredibly helpful in setting up and explaining the optimal Wi-Fi connectivity for my device. I also really enjoyed my time at the lobby bar thanks to Koo Koo, the bartender. He was not only friendly but also very informative, sharing excellent tips about places to visit and explore across Myanmar.

The onsite spa provides an excellent array of treatments, including traditional Burmese Thanaka massage and Thai massage. It was a real highlight to have the option of enjoying these services either in the tranquil spa rooms or in the comfort of my own suite, which made for a very positive and relaxing experience.

The breakfast buffet was excellent, delivering a wide assortment and variety of dishes to start the day and fuel you to dinner.

While there is a nightclub on-site, it was closed during my visit with an anticipated opening from April 2026. If you like to stay active, the clean and fully equipped gym is open 24h for guests. Overall, a fantastic experience and I certainly look forward to staying here again.

Good experience
Pros:

Facility can use some upgrades but stuff makes up for it with the service. Trista, Witt Hmong and Amara provide outstanding service. Location is good as well. The club down stairs is clean and good mix of music.

Pros:

24 hour fitness center best part.difficult to change TV channels as not in English. If you are on the road side very noise with traffic during the day. No hot water. Was Luke warm. But was fairly soundproofed. You don't hear people through the walls. Restaurant a bit expensive for what you are getting. Staff very helpful.

Cons:

Water cold in bathroom. Needs to be hotter for foreigner. Location a bit awkward. Ok for shot stay. If you have a room on the road very noisy with traffic. So be careful when choosing room. Better than some of the hotel.

Old, but nice hotel.
Pros:

I spent a week at this hotel. First impression is that the rooms are old and a little tired. However, the beds are good, and the climate control works okay. The staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Breakfast offers a choice of local, Malay, Chinese and European food options. Chinese restaurant on the second floor is very nice, I used to dine there almost every evening. Laundry/dry cleaning services are cheap and efficient. The hotel is located very close to Bogyoke market and the city, while Shwedagon pagoda is less than two kilometers away. Overall, not bad at all.
