The main thing was the view, with a corner Manhattan view room. Gorgeous! Worth the money. Staff was helpful, the hotel in general is well designed and run with a good restaurant, bar, and cafe. They provided us with a mini-fridge because we asked ahead of time, but apparently, this is not standard in rooms. Bathroom was nice and large.
Convenient location to explore Queens, LIC, and hop on a train/subway to Manhattan or Brooklyn.
Our room was a deluxe, but it didn't have almost any furniture. The room was quite big with a large balcony, but there was no furniture to sit on. We could only sit on the bed and one really uncomfortable hard wooden chair. Quite disappointing that there wasn't even a sitting area or a way to sit on the balcony, and most of the room was just empty floor.
We also didn't have our roomed cleaned for two days until we requested, and there was no explanation for this (we weren't advised to request room cleaning). However, the rest of the time we were there was adequately scheduled cleaning.
The austere industrial look is very well done. And if you have a room facing Manhattan, the views are fantastic. All that and the staff are also great. The place to stay in north Queens.
Not a thing.
The entrance
The bed squeaks like crazy, the heat make noises all night, no rug, only 1 chair in the room, no fridge.
The boutique hotel is in a good location. It's very clean. The bars are nice especially the roof top and the restaurant has great food. There is a small basement gym that has a treadmill, elliptical, some weights and a universal weight machine.
I would recommend bath robes in the rooms as well as coffee or tea machines in the rooms. It's nice not to have to go to the lobby for coffee in the morning. The hotel has coffee service until 9am, however I think there should at least be coffee available in your room as well.
Great views from the balcony and hotel restaurant was amazing!
Dirty shower with clumps of hair, I don’t think anyone cleaned it. For almost 500 a night, I expected it to be clean. Shower handle is also loose so water only stayed on super hot
The hotel is a boutique hotel. It is very nice. It has an industrial feel to it depending on where you are at hotel. I think the ceilings in the rooms should be painted to give it a softer feel. Overall I did enjoy the hotel. The restaurant.and rooftop lounge are a must visit.
Very clean and staff was fantastic. We will definitely stay here again.
We booked a corner room with a superbe view of the Manhattan skyline.
We liked the interior, the wood flooring, the large room, the large bathroom, the balcony is as wide as the room. The beds were super comfy. The personnel is super nice.
I wish we could have had a coffee machine in the room and real mugs. I don't like paper cups (perhaps this is city regulations, encountered that in another hotel in the city)
Large room, nice view, close to the Metro
No housekeeping, no dresser or drawers for clothes. The lights in the room were odd- a lightbulb hanging from a wire, only one nightstand, we couldn’t turn off the lights from the bed.
I liked the location, which is convenient to both Manhattan and Queens.
I liked the industrial feel, the staff are friendly, the rooms are spacious and comfortable.
Room was decent - simple but very spacious, clean and bed was comfortable. Reception staff were friendly. Really nice view of Manhattan from the rooftop bar. Short walk to the nearest metro (about 10-15 minutes maybe, depending on how quick you are to walk though of course).
200$ deposit, and it still has not come back. However, high deposits seem to be normal in New York, as also our previous hotel before this one charged a 100$ deposit. It is just not very nice to have those sorts of amounts gone out of the banking account without being able to see if they're coming back or not. The overall price is, well, it's New York prices. It's going to be more expensive for what you get compared to most places, but that's just how New York is.
