The location of a historic building in downtown Paris. The staff was helpful.
The breakfast was mediocre!
L’hôtel est situé en plein centre-ville, dans une petite ville qui s’articule essentiellement autour d’une rue principale. À notre arrivée, l’accès à l’hôtel était compliqué en raison d’importants travaux de voirie juste devant l’établissement, occasionnant également beaucoup de bruit. Malgré cela, une chambre donnant sur la rue nous a été attribuée. Nous avons demandé à changer de chambre, ce qui a été fait rapidement et sans aucune difficulté.
La chambre était spacieuse, mais mériterait toutefois un petit rafraîchissement. Concernant la ville, nous avons été quelque peu déçus, notamment au regard de sa réputation de « plus belle ville de l’Ontario ». Elle est extrêmement petite et le tour des principaux points d’intérêt se fait en une vingtaine de minutes.
Construction outside made it inconvenient to get to River’s Edge.

Construction out in front of hotel and started at 6:30am in front of hotel where our room was!

They didn’t tell us about the construction going on and there was no water from 6am to 10 am which meant no shower first thing in the morning

Nice quaint hotel
The road outside was under construction. We were not made aware that the heavy construction crews were working all night outside of our room. We were forced to leave as the noise was too great and we would not have slept. What was supposed to be a nice night away turned into driving home at 10pm at night. Unfortunately we had to pay 1/2 price for a room we never stayed in. Had we been informed this work was happening all night we would have booked to cone on a different day. The staff knew it was happening but failed to share with us upon check in.

Breakfast, didn't like the eggs but im fussy.
The uniquely themed rooms were fun, which we learned about on the first day. The architecture was very charming and it was a central location to the sights/activities we pursued during our stay. The air conditioning was great for the summertime. We received a permit from the hotel, allowed us to park for free in a nearby lot. Hotel staff were friendly and welcoming.
There were a lot of ambient noises (electric buzzing, elevator whirring) and the walls were very thin. The breakfast selection wasn’t very wide and quality could have been better. In terms of amenities, it seemed like there wasn’t much to do at the hotel during downtime (no pool/hot tub, no workout space).

Loved this hotel full of history! Amazing customer service, the food at the library bar was unique and delicious, the room was huge and nicely decorated with a literary theme (we had the J.R.R. Tolkien room). The old cellar bar in the basement was a really cool added bonus to check out!
