Beautifully decorated and very helpful staff

The property was very nice, staff were great and it was nice to be able to book (paid) parking. Breakfasts were great.
We found the bed and pillows uncomfortable; perhaps they’ve seen better days.
Very friendly staff and we were made very welcome on arrival. Room was large with plenty of storage. Lovely decor, lovely homely feel to the hotel.
Breakfast was very good. Hotel is ideally located near to the beach and the restaurants of Southsea.
Additional charge for parking but it was in a secured gated area. Tricky to find though!
Lovely hotel, that was well decorated, lovely and ckean. Our room was a good size with very comfy bed and nice bathroom. Breafast was well cooked and great choice of items.
The hotel did not have a restaurant open for evening meal for our stay, although there was a bistro pub just down the road which we did use.
Staff were very helpful.

Small but pleasant hotel, nice clean rooms and friendly staff
We spent a night in this hotel whilst visiting the historic dockyard in Portsmouth. Slightly tricky to find the gated car park but once we did that was a nice idea, to have secure parking, cost of an additional £15.
Very friendly welcome on arrival. Our room was large and had really thick soft carpet which felt more luxurious than the usual hotel carpet standard!
Room was very clean, bathroom a little tired in places and the towels could do with an upgrade but other than that very comfortable bed and pillows.
Breakfast was really good, waitress service, good selection of breakfast options.
All in all very good value for money.
I stayed for 2 nights, the room was clean, comfortable and the staff were very friendly. The location is great for everything in and around Southsea. I used the on street parking and found a space a couple of streets away. Having previously lived in Southsea I was expecting this but if you want easy parking near the hotel I would suggest paying for the parking supplement.
The location- really quiet and within close proximity to eateries. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was welcoming, tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and warm.
The lack of a restaurant. On Booking.com it’s advertised as having a restaurant, but there wasn’t one. The hotel explained that it was available seasonally, from May. Booking needs to update its details to reflect this.
More info on street parking which was a little difficult on the first evening. I would have paid for a reserved space had I known. Other times it was easy enough finding a space.
Good Location
The Toilet was dirty, the Body/hair wash was empty in the shower. the restaurant was closed but said online it was open. Breakfast was expensive, you only got 1 bit of toast with the egg on toast and it was £12.00 for that
