A super but rushed one night stay for a concert at the Guildhall. The receptionist and breakfast staff were friendly and helpful. Room 5 Executive King Room With Shower on the top floor was lovely. It does not have a view, but it is private. There is no lift so you need to be able to carry your luggage. The bed and pillows were really comfortable. There were tea making facilities in the room and a hairdryer. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of cold and hot foods. They also do evening meals. I thought the outdoor patio space in front of reception looked great. I was able to book an onsite parking space by emailing the hotel. I am sure it would be very easy to park along the promenade too. The hotel is close to the promenade and shingle beach. I walked across the road to Southsea Rock Garden, along the promenade and into the town centre. It was about 2.5 miles and a lovely evening walk with lots of joggers and people enjoying the sunset. Returning from the concert, I got a taxi from the railway station for eight pounds. Posting four photos if they are accepted.
There was a big gap under the door and the light from the landing came in. Unfortunately I had left my eye patches in the car. In the end I stuffed the cushions from the chairs along the base of the door in order to cut out the light.

Excellent place to stay before getting the ferry, near to the seafront and plenty of restaurants near by. All staff were really welcoming, cheerful and super helpful.

Parking facilities took us 45 minutes to park the car 300 yards away from the accommodation
It is in the perfect location in the centre of Florence, but it was still quiet enough to sleep at night. The room was clean and spacious with a comfy bed and a lovely big shower enclosure. The air-conditioning was a huge relief in 30 degree heat. The breakfast was typically Italian - coffee, pastries and fruit. Cereal was also available and the hosts made a special effort to provide me with soya milk, as I am lactose intolerant. They were very friendly and welcoming, helped with our bags. The hosts kindly allowed us to leave our luggage in the reception area after we had checked out on our last day, so we could explore Florence without carting bags everywhere. When we returned, they organised a taxi to take us to the train station.
The only concern for some people may be the stairs - there are 4 short flights. As a reasonably fit 60 year old, I managed fine though. (The host also kindly took my suitcase up for me).
