Very good
Pros:

Staff very pleasant and helpful from arrival to departure. Room very good , large and clean with lovely views from the balcony. Ate in restaurant that evening and thoroughly enjoyed it. Breakfast freshly cooked to order.

Highly recommended hotel with amazing views and excellent food.
Pros:

A fantastic room with fridge, sofas and private balcony with a wonderful view . A comfortable bed and large en-suite bathroom.
A very pleasant restaurant with excellent food and brilliant service. Very friendly and efficient staff.

Pros:

The room is really spacious clean and provides a great view

Cons:

Wifi didn’t work at all in the evening. I had to cancel all my zoom calls and moved immediately to the other hotel To be honest wifi worked satisfactorily at 5 am in the morning but slowed down at 6:30
There were no hot shower, the water was simply lukewarm
The safe didn’t work in the room at all
Breakfast was not good: in such areas one expect that local produce would be used, and nicely cooked: the black pudding was seriously overcooked (or maybe the initial quality was low), the bread used for the toast was “chemical” one from the supermarket, tear port of the size of milk pot, and the whole atmosphere- ok there are no atmosphere in the pub

A forest class place to stay for a long weekend in Derbyshire
Pros:

Extremely spacious room and excellent food (particularly appreciated fresh milk in the fridge). Very accommodating and cheerful staff.

Cons:

Only minor quibble was the lack of hooks or chair in the bathroom.

Outstanding break at The View.
Pros:

This is our fourth visit. Ideal for visiting Chatsworth xmas markets. The accommodation was as always excellent. The staff are brilliant, so friendly and attentive, the food was outstanding. Belly pork, steak & ale pie all 5 star 🌟

Would definitely recommend and revisit.
Pros:

Everything was lovely. Welcoming staff, great room and ensuite, spacious, quiet and a wonderful view. I'd love to visit in the summer and enjoy the little patio.

Wish we had stayed longer
Pros:

This is an absolutely fabulous place. Rooms are brand new, beautiful and super comfy. The pub and restaurant are fantastic. Excellent food and drinks. The owners are incredibly friendly and helpful.
