Staff and service were excellent as was the food.
No air conditioning did make the room very walk in the summer. There was a fan so not the end of the world..

El lloc on es es troba és molt maco, i les habitacions son molt maques i amples. Bon esmorçar i molt bon tracte.
Que no hi hagi dutxa. També devant la pujada de temperatures aquest agost pel canvi climátic, no hi ha prou aillament del sostre ni aire acondicionat i a les habitacións feia molta calor.
Rooms were light, bright and spotless. Views were amazing.

The room was spacious and clean. It was very quiet and peaceful. Views over the dales from a private balcony. Staff were friendly. Meals were excellent and we had our evening meal there both nights

Excellent quality rooms with lovely views
Short bar/restaurant hours on a Sunday understandable but leave guests very much room bound. A recent development is tight butter allocations at breakfast……
Ideal location to visit the peak district. Food was lovely. All the staff were friendly and helpful,including cleaners. We will definitely visit again and recommend to friends and family.
Great for parking and they offered to store our bikes if needed. Room 1 had a great walk in shower. Toiletries provided were nice as was the fresh milk. Also it was nice to have a mini fridge in the room in this hot weather. We enjoyed the spacious seating area and also used the small dining type table to play some games.
The menu in the adjoining pub was varied and reasonably priced and they also had specials.
As the name suggests, the place had a lovely view. We thought it might be noisy as based next to the pub but it was really peaceful.
It was very hot ( not the owners fault!) But it needed more than 1 fan as no air-conditioning. Also had problems with remote control on tv,could have been batteries or poor signal? But we hardly watched it so no issue for us really. It may bother others though.

It was very clean, nicely decorated, comfy & spacious, the staff were great as were the breakfasts & the evening meals we had, it's a very relaxing beautiful place to stay & well situated for everything in the Peak District. we'll definitely be back.
It was exceptionally hot when we were there & an umbrella for the balcony would have been the icing on the cake also a slightly quieter fan, but everything else was superb.
We ate breakfast and dinner for 3 days. The breakfasts were delicious. The staff was wonderful. Our rooms were huge with big bathrooms and a gorgeous view of the hills. The Luxury rooms have king beds and a bath and a big stand-alone shower. That would have been perfect. There was also plenty of parking.
The dinners could be improved but we had been spoiled along the way. We did not book a Luxury room. Ours had a big bath but you had to carefully step in and out and the bed was smaller. There was no AC but fans were provided and we could open the windows.
