I would stay again but only in a better room.
Pros:

The location was great as an overnight stop if travelling to the south. The food in the restaurant was exceptional as were the staff who waited on us. Breakfasts were good.

Cons:

Our room was in the annexe and overlooked the busy main road and it was impossible to sleep with the window open with the heavy trucks passing every minute through the night. Unfortunately, with the window closed and no air con the alternative was just as bad. My advice-don't go in summer when it's hot or insist on a better room. The 'double bed' was 2 singles pushed together, so not ideal.

Comfortable overnight stay on our way home
Pros:

Staff were excellent and hotel lovely and quirky. Food was really good. Bed was comfortable too and we slept very well.

Cons:

We were in the annexe and the room was very small and and basic. The wifi was terrible.
