Evolution Dive and Beach Resort

We were ver comfortable in our simple room. I only wish it had a safe and a small fridge. We were there for the scuba diving, of course, and that staff was exceptional. Food and drinks were great, and we enjoyed happy hour!

Best diving in the area. Trustworthy, professional dive staff were top notch. Met some great friends. Was a nice chill vibe and we never worse shoes the whole time so consider that a win.

Great dive hotel on a lovely beach. Communication prior to stay was excellent, room was clean and comfortable and bar restaurant was awesome. Most importantly, they were brilliant to dive with - the first boat out in the morning and I wouldn’t hesitate to book again when we’re next in Malapascua

Right on the beach, clean and convenient.

Evolution is a truly pretty, warm and very comfortable place to stay. Clean, tidy, well organised, with good (quality) food and drinks choice.
Of course, the service is excellent as well.
The dive base is run diligently and efficiently by a great staff.
Personal "coup de coeur": this place is environmentally-friendly as much as possible... it is even difficult to spot it coming from the sea :)
Hopefully, we'll come back one day.

We took our shoes off on arrival and put them back on only at departure. Beautiful place, great staff, and excellent diving. The sharks, wow!

Little piece of paradise on Malapascua island. Great room with everything you need, super friendly and helpful staff, good location, excellent restaurant with Both local and western food and last but not least, a super professional diving club. We had an amazing stay and could only recommend staying there. Really appreciated that there were no plastic bottles and that there was a conscious effort to preserve the environment.

This is not a hotel for family with kids. If you are on a diving trip, then this hotel probably will suit most if not all your needs. It’s a bit of a walk from where you dock, but the flip side is it’s far enough to feel secluded. The room we had was very clean and comfortable. Bonus is your steps away from the beach. Only warning ⚠️ is to ensure you have all your booking details with you as to not incur “other” charges. Staff hassled me for a few days but did the right thing in the end.

The resort is in a quiet location on Malapascua Island. The staffs are friendly and helpful. It’s a great location for families and couples to enjoy a serene vacation while diving at amazing dive sites near the island.

Relaxed and easygoing staff. The dive center was clean and well organized. I thoroughly enjoyed the dives to see the Thresher Sharks.

Staff, location, hotel and the restaurants were all amazing.

This hotel is very very quiet. I was always wondering if there is anyone staying:) But most people go diving so you dont see many people. This hotel with Malapascua Exotic Island Dive has the best beach, still I would recommend Malapascua Exotic Island Dive with a breakfast more. If you are looking for some more entertainment and more people go to Ocean Vida Beach and Dive Resort Malapascua 8 min walking.

Loved this place! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Several times throughout my stay they would call me by my name. I felt more at home here than most resorts at which I have stayed. My room was spacious and clean. The bed was my type of comfortable. I only had a couple meals at the restaurant because of the short stay but the food was great and the service excellent. Their dive center was very professionally run and I could not have asked for a better dive instructor. Over all, an incredible stay. I shall return.

Felt slightly tricked on check-in. I was already on Malapascua (staying at another hotel) but saw the Evolution rooms on the beach and they looked nice. I checked Hotels.com and specifically booked a room that stated "balcony with beach view", which was also stated clearly on my confirmation email. However, on check-in, we were led to the back of the property to a separate building with additional rooms, where the balcony overlooked an overgrown area of wasteland. I showed the manager my booking but was repeated told "this is your room sir".

It was a disappointing event that soured my stay because, to be honest, the room I was in was nice. Clean, comfortable bed, nice modern sink area outside of the bathroom. The balcony had nice furniture on it - although I never went out there since it wasn't a nice place to spend any time. However, to be clear - the room was good, and if it hadn't been mis-sold then I would have been happy.

On the day I left, we were told that the waves had caused the local island ferry to stop running. Evolution used one of their boats to transport 7 tourists back to the mainland (PHP200 per person) which was very much appreciated; I am grateful to them for offering this service so that I could get to the airport for my flight.

Overall - a nice place with nice rooms. But please Evolution - don't advertise 'beach view' rooms that don't have a beach view!

Great place to get away. Friendly and clean. Thresher shark diving is the best in the world and our guides took us right to the action

Evolution is at the end of a long line of hotels so the beachfront area is more private and quiet than the rest. We loved this. The facilities are beautiful, clean, and comfortable. The rooms were cleaned everyday and were very comfortable. No wifi in the room but in the restaurant you could get a good connection. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay at evolution.
