A real treasure! Right on the beach with protected outdoor seating and bar to watch sunset from. Had plenty of room to move in our accommodation. The entire property was spotlessly clean, inside and out. Especially considering this is a dog friendly stay. Staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. Breakfast basket was a lovely surprise. Thoroughly recommend Cambia Shores.

We’ve stayed here before and had such nostalgic memories that it brought us back for our 35th anniversary year but sadly we were left with just average feelings. It was kind of stuffy with no air conditioning or fan in the room and the Tesla that parked outside/in front of our room was so loud and noisy locking and unlocking their doors and coming/going umpteen times that it was super annoying. The in room coffee was meh and breakfast isn’t delivered until 8:30am which is pretty late for us. Their coffee shop, for purchase, opens at 8:00, but even that is a little late for us so we ended up going to purchase our own coffee and supplies. The afternoon free cup of wine coupon was a nice gesture, but the wine that was included wasn’t that great. It’s a beautiful place really, but we just didn’t get the “wow” feeling this time that we had in the past. Not sure we would be set on staying there again as there are many options right along the same stretch of beautiful ocean views. Some even have views of the ocean from the room which would be pretty cool.
Breakfast basket was great. Adirondack chairs on the lawn were great!

We were looking at places to go - we live in San Jose. Although this is a 3hr drive, well worth it. Besides beating the heat, this dog friendly hotel does it right. Melanie checked us in. Room is great with its own little back private patio the dogs could wander too. The food - exceptional at Madeline's. Both at the hotel and the main restaurant downtown where you get a 10% discount.
I watched a manager inspecting rooms after cleaning staff left, this place is great. Location is great.
Only negative (and not the hotels issue) is the state does not allow dogs on the beach, just the boardwalk that rides above the beach.
Everyone who stayed at the hotel was also happy - seems like the place to go and get away and especially if you have a dog or two - I attached a picture of their mail box just to prove it.
I will definitely go there again
this was our third stay @ Cambria Shores Inn. each visit was wonderful (our dogs felt good there and enjoyed the treats). shout outs to Michael, Ricky and Brithany in the cafe for making us feel welcome.
Book for a Hearst Castle visit. Just minutes away. Nice downtown with good restaurants. Also visit the elefant seals. Recommended
The view, location, property was just adorable! They provided a free glass of wine and just sitting in the sun looking out at the ocean was amazing
Location breakfast basket
This hotel is a special place sitting on a very beautiful beach with a fabulous ocean view. The personal touch at this small hotel sweeps us away so we are able to take in the beauty and luxury of our favorite spot on earth. The staff is incredible. They give you the feeling that you are important. You actually get the opportunity to interact with them. Love Cambria Shores. There is no better place to stay.
There is nothing we don’t like about this property.
We loved the breakfast basket, the view, the large room with fireplace and cleanliness of the place! The fact that there is a beach access and walking path out front is also great. Also good having some food on-site.
Bed mushy and creaky (although, not uncomfortable).
Not this establishment's fault, but the beach was littered with very large and many tree branches and trunks. Maybe there had been a major storm prior to our arrival.
