Prima verblijf voor een kort bezoek aan Gent.
Pros:

Ideale locatie, dichtbij het centrum en dichtbij een betaalbare parkeergarage.

Cons:

Jammer dat je niet staand kan douchen omdat je de douchekop niet op kunt hangen (en geen douchescherm hebt).

Notre chambre numéro 3 n’avait pas de lumière,fenêtres ouvrant sur une façade à 50cm
La chambre voisine où étaient nos amis,numéro 4 était magnifique.
Donc éviter la 3 !!

Pros:

Old style hotel - Great Character, wouldn't have wanted to stay another night

Great location and interesting hotel and really good breakfast in a lovely dinning room. Helpful staff

Cons:

The top floor felt a long way from reception and need to walk through a few flights of stairs corridors to get there. Everything looked safe and fire alarms in place and exits clearly labelled. Personally I didn't feel comfortable being away in the loft and didn't feel safe.
The furniture was old and tired the bathroom was old fashioned - shower head screwed to painted wall and tiles painted over ! - it felt like their really struggling to keep on top of the maintenance (I think the rest of the reviews summarise it accurately) Probably depends on what you paid as to what you're prepared to overlook !

solide und in idealer Lage
Pros:

Die Lage ist ideal für die Erkundung der Satdt. Die nahegelegenen Parkhäuser erleichtern die Anreise mit dem Pkw. Das Gebäude ist historisch und hat eine ensprechende Ausstrahlung (die ich positiv empfand). Ich habe nur eine Nacht im Februar '26 dort verbracht und lediglich einen weiteren Gast getroffen, so dass die Ruhe im Gebäude nicht typisch sein muss. Mein Zimmer (Nr. 7) war sehr schlicht, aber für eine Übernachtung ausreichend, Ich habe jedenfalls hervorragend geschlafen, was für mich ungewöhnlich ist. Das Frühstück (in einem sehr gediegenen Saal) entsprach meinen Erfahrungen nach dem durchschnittlichen Hotel-Niveau.

Cons:

Für einen Aufenthalt von mehr als einer Nacht wäre mir das Zimmer (Nr. 7) doch etwas zu schlicht. Möglicherweise sind andere Zimmer des Hauses schöner und komfortabler. Gemessen an der Fassade und dem Frühstückssaal kann man mehr von diesem Gebäude erwarten.

muhteşem konum

kahvaltı yeterliydi. konumu ise muhteşemdi. oda müsait olduğu için girişimizi erken yapabildik. nevresimler temizdi ancak pencere pervazları ve banyo biraz tozluydu. yataklar da çok ses çıkarıyordu. asansör yok uyarısı rezervasyon sırasında belirtilmişti ancak bu kadar dik merdiven olacağını da düşünmemiştik. bavullarımızı çıkarırken çok zorlandık. personel güler yüzlü ve oldukça yardımseverdi.

Our stay in Ghent with the history, recommended restaurants & Christmas markets were super.
Pros:

The hotel is beautiful with such history and so graciously kept with a superb reception experience and of course the breakfast & service was of a very high standard.

Cons:

We were warned about the stairs so pack light - great upfront notice.

Toplocatie en fijn hotel!
Pros:

De locatie was echt superfijn, midden in het mooie centrum van Gent. Het ontbijt was goed verzorgd en we voelden ons heel prettig in dit hotel! Een mooie kasteelachtige uitstraling en heel rustig en stil in de nacht.

Cons:

Er was niet echt iets wat ons tegenviel. We waren er maar één nacht en alles liep eigenlijk perfect voor ons!
