La Casona de Tortuguero

Een prima locatie maar ook niet heel goed. Zwembad niet schoon, troebel water. Ontbijt prima.

2 hôtels à tortuguero. Celui-ci est nettement mieux. Personnel agréable, piscine et calme. Les chambres sont très biens compte tenu de tortuguero. Clim possible.

Very disappointing property .My booking said triple room only got room with one double bed .Bed was awful wooden slats covered over by dirty mdf boards and then a lumpy mattress thrown on top and one awful pillow each . You couldn’t close the curtains because the poles kept falling down on your head .The shower was a very dangerous poor saniflow system that didn’t work and the toilet didn’t flush .We had to ask everyday if bedding or towels could be changed otherwise they were not done .The room had such badly installed electrics and pipework some still exposed . Hope I never have to stay anywhere like that again .

Next to the beach. Easy check in and friendly staff. No AC tho... but I don’t think there is any on the island. No windows only nets to keep bugs out. Clean room and warm water.

This is a basic hotel. The room was small, not very pretty but serviceable and what was needed was there. No air conditionning however, but the fan provided enough air movement to keep the room comfortable.

Tres beau Lieu et tres bien situé. Les propietairesont adorable. Quelq'un est venu nous chercher a l embarcadère et c'est vraiment appreciable.....

cet hotel au concept d'une auberge de jeunesse nous a beaucoup déçu par rapport aux commentaires donnés dans certains guides ! l'accueil est inexistant, seul contact l'instant du paiement ! wi-fi cahotique .... propreté et literie laissant à désirer .... douche plus que spartiate avec alimentation électrique et eau sans doute dangereuse........

It was great! Do not expect a 5 star resort. This is an authentic family own hostel in a great location. It was clean, and had a great common area. The owners were super friendly and made us feel welcome.

I liked this place a lot and Sara was brilliant when i first arrived but she wS only there on the first day. My only complaint was the room wasn't cleaned during my stay and as you need to put the toilet paper in a bin its quite unpleasant. That's why i put a low score for cleanliness and service.

We got to the hotel after travelling for hours and they did not have a room available for us. We had booked in Nov 2017. However, the person was very sorry about it and found us a room at another hotel and offered to pay for one night. It worked out better for us, however it was frustrating after travelling all day.

Wir waren für drei Nächte im La Casona.
Das Team hat ins sehr freundlich empfangen. Das hotel liegt gut zentral in Tortuguero und man hört auch das Meeresrauschen von der Karibikküste.
Das zimmer war sauber und reichte als einfache Unterkunft. Ein zwei Haken an der Wand wären schön, damit man Handtücher oder andere Sachen aufhängen könnte.

Es gibt keine Glasfenster sondern "nur" Fenster mit Fliegennetz und Holzgitter. Das ist aber vollkommen ausreichend. Heißt aber auch, dass man hört , was draußen passiert. Fürs Meeresrauschen gut, für Nachbarn nicht so.

Frühstück besteht abwechselnd aus Rührei oder Pancakes mit frischem Obst. Wird frisch zubereitet und schmeckt.

Alles in allem eine gute Unterkunft. Zwei Nächte reichen aber für Tortuguero, um alles zu sehen und zu erleben.

Sarah, die Inhaberin, ist sehr freundlich und spricht sehr gut englisch.

Anfang November kostete die Nacht in diesem einfachen Zimmer mit geteiltem Bad 23$. Das Zimmer liegt im OG und ist von einem davorliegenden Gang zu betreten. Leider hatten wir das schlechte dieser beiden Zimmer bekommen. Das andere Zimmer hatte zwei Einzelbetten. Die Wände waren glatt verkleidet. Ablagemöglichkeiten waren vorhanden. Das Zimmer war sauber und ordentlich. In unserem Zimmer waren breite Spalte im Fußboden, so dass ich stehend durch den Spalt die im Erdgeschoss auf einem Tisch liegende Fernsehbedienung im ganzen erfassen konnte. Ob die kleinen Stechmücken durch die Ritzen aufsteigen können, weiß ich nicht . Die breiten stopften wir mit Papier zu. Die Decke hing zum Teil herunter. Andere Zimmer sahen wir nicht. Sie sind aber teurer und besser. Das incl. Frühstück beinhaltete: Kaffee, Toast, Marmelade, Ei und einen kecken Gecko, der sich an der Marmelade labte.

La casona está cerca del centro y de la playa.La gente es muy amable y el lugar agradable.
El desayuno es muy rico

Situé entre la plage et la rue principale. Personnel super sympathique.

Juan couldn't have been more helpful and even helped to call the airline about my lost luggage. He even came with me to collect it from the harbour and carried it back for me.

It was really humid while we were there and the rooms only had a fan so it was very hot in the room (day and night). Shame the property isn't on the sea front to get some breeze.

The hotel does not have air-conditioning but they do having fans in room. Breakfast is a little lean only bread and fruit.... Hotel staff is excellent real family feel..Near beach and park..

it was nice that roberto greeted us from the public ferry dock and showed us around town. he was helpful with the guided tours information, and we were able to use the kitchen to cook our own food, so that was a bonus! the propritor was very sick and had sick baby, so we felt bad for her, but she seemed as cheerful as could be under the circumstances. we wish that there were little carpets for the floor by our bed because the sand was hard to control and thee needs to be some kind of ground cover or maybe buckets of water to rinse your feet before you track in into your room. we rented a kayak and took the tour ourself and we saw some really amazing things, like tons of birds, monkeys, and blue morpho butterflies. you have to get up early to get your tickets at 5;30 am. or you will need to go at a later time during the day, as they only allow 14 kayaks in every 3 hours to the national park. being there early you get so see more animals hunting and the howler monkeys are so loud!
