The waitress in the restaurant was friendly and that’s the only positive point I can think of.
I was disappointed in my stay here. There were so many steps to my room, it was quite difficult to manage my luggage up and down the stairs. When I asked for help, I was told by the receptionist that there was no one available.
My dinner in the restaurant was poor. The Caesar salad was drowning in dressing. The chicken satay was one skewer of tasteless chicken. It really was terrible.
The room itself was passable but the carpet was filthy.

Die Busverbindungen am Abend sind nicht gerade reichlich, weder in die Stadt noch zum James Hutton Institute kam man ohne Komplikation.

Er is maar één ingang en wij hadden de kamer aan het einde op de verdieping dus moesten we heel ver lopen en traplopen om bij de kamer te komen

Hotelli on kauniilla ja rauhallisella paikalla. Se oli myös sopivan matkan päässä Edinburghin lentokentästä ja reitin varrella jatkaessamme matkaa Ylämaille saakka.
Ravintola meni kiinni jo klo 20, mutta saimme tilata toastit.
Henkilökunta oli melko vaisu. Vain yksi henkilö hymyili tervehtiessään. Ravintolan keittiö suljettiin klo 20. Saimme kuitenkin tilattua toastit heti klo 20 jälkeen. Tilasimme myös juomat, mutta odotimme niitä noin puoli tuntia. Saimme ne vasta, kun kyselimme juomien perään toastit saatuamme.
Hotelli on vanha ja ainakin meidän standard huoneista puuttui ilmanvaihto. Ikkunat sai onneksi auki.
Aamiaisella kahvikone oli tukossa ja pyysi henkilökunnan huoltoa jokaisen kahvikupin jälkeen.
Vanhoille ihmisille huomioitavaksi: Hotellissa ei ole hissiä ja portaat ensimmäiseen kerrokseen ovat jyrkät. Kannattaa kysyä onko huoneita katutasossa
