Cons:

The hot tub was closed all week so we did not get to use the hot tub. The carpet in the room was worn, and looks like it needs to be replaced.

The cleanliness of the hotel itself, the welcoming staff

Cons:

The gnats flying around the dining area during breakfast. I’m sure with the front door being so close the wind was causing the gnats to fly in. Plus I’m sure they smelled the sweet waffles cooking. Lol.

The hotel met its purpose. The room was actually pretty quiet and comfortable

The manager was very friendly and welcoming

Cons:

The rooms were very out dated. Bathroom tub had mold. The continental breakfast was nothing more than one waffle maker, coffee and muffins, but at least it was something. When we arrived a person came out holding a cat in his arms and a dog on a leash. I know most hotels allow pets, but was very surprised about the cat, since they need litter boxes.

Cons:

The male who was working the front desk was not overly helpful. He just kept saying, “like I already told you” when I asked questions. More condescending than helpful. Did not appreciate him. The female at checkout was great.

Pleasant long weekend
Pros:

Business/Pleasure trip for me. I'd return to this hotel and Hartford in the future for another long weekend. Restaurants and a brewery in Hartford, but close enough to Sioux Falls for more, e.g. SDSO.

Pros:

Perfect breakfast was a good selection. And location was great for us.

Cons:

Night light for bathroom. Only one grab bar in the shower for getting in and out. Tub floor was a little slippery.
