perfect for overnight layover.Would stay there again.
Nice hotel. Don't trust owner on shuttle service!
He went away and just left me sitting on a bench in front of to the hotel.
I always stay here when I am in Antigua on business. Positive - it is near the airport. My one negative - it is near the airport so the bigger jets taking off can be heard quite loudly. Otherwise the rooms are comfortable with necessary basic amenities. Simple breakfast included for the price. Probably my fifth stay here and will most likely stay here again on my next trip in about two months time.
Great room, air conidtioner, big patio, only downside is the proximity to the airport and the noise from the planes but once it closes for the evening it is wonderful. For those needing to spend the night and return to the airport the next day it is ideal as it is close and has a shuttle for to and from the airport. The staff is wonderful and friendly!
Good for short stays and close to the airport. So, excellent for stop-overs. You will likely need a car since nothing much is walkable. That said, everything is within reasonable driving distance. However, this is not a resort - it's not close to any beaches.
Free transfer to and from airport. Friendly greeting upon arrival and super comfy bed, perfect transfer stay. Also enjoyed sunset from balcony.
On entend les avions au moins jusqu'à 10h
Le petit déjeuner est succinct, les escaliers dur à monter avec les valises.
Good overnight stay. The manager was very helpful and shuttled us to/from the airport.
Has to wait over an hour to check into room as no i e was available.. eventually had to call the UK at further expense to ask for someone to track down someone from the Inn to check us in
shower problem, but may now be fixed
Arrived at the hotel and was disappointed to learn that the hotel was overbooked, the owner arranged for the overnight stay at another hotel about 5 mins away, which smelled looked up for years. I was not happy. Definitely won't be staying at the back up hotel again, not even sure I would want to book at Wind Chime hotel again.
Great place to stay, room was a decent size and was very clean and well kept. Staff were great and very helpful.Only problem was that there wasn't a great deal nearby so you have to get a taxi everywhere. Other than that a great place to stay, especially if you are on your own, as I was.
Hotel is nice and very close to the airport. But there is nothing around the hotel.Either you have a car or taxi to go some where.Breakfast is very basic.
Disaster! And I do not compare with my country Sweden. I compare with over 500 hotel nights in the Caribbean, South America and Central America. You live more or less on the airport runway and the service is non-existent. Obey good advice and avoid this hotel!
It's a basic room, but pretty good for the price you pay. And if you love planes then this is the place for you! You could almost throw a rock from your balcony onto the runway it's so close but the planes don't fly through the night so no problems sleeping. Shopping is a bit more difficult, realistically you need a taxi to get to nearest shop as it's too far away to walk and carry lots of stuff.
The second time I was meant to stay here the owner overbooked the room and I had to stay somewhere else, but the owner drove me there and paid for it which was much appreciated. I will stay here again when I'm next in Antigua.
Expedia sent a message saying that I had to revise my review, did not feel like re-typing the entire thing, so the summary is that the web states airport transfers are free, this is false as your confirmation will state that the hotel charges $8USD for airport transfers and from my experience, they put you into a cab which you will pay for separately instead of having the charge added to your hotel charges and the taxi fare may end up slightly higher than the stated $8USD.
Hotel also charged the deposit twice on the same day. When they were notified and we explained the situation that we would lose money due to the credit card's foreign exchange differential, they did not take steps to make sure the differential was covered as well, when this was very obviously their mistake. Refund was promised immediately but had to chase them down for the refund.
Charge me twice. No free pick up service from airport. Support $8 USD for taxi, but they charged us for $10.
I had a lovely stay, friendly staff and on my return I will be going back to the hotel and they have organised activities for me during my short stay there.
Nice hotel, no restaurant, need cab to get to town. Owner is a nice & friendly. Can be a little noisy from air traffic.
Great little oasis to lay your head. Lots of greenery and birds. Perfect for our transit through Antigua back to Canada. Staff were polite and hospitable much kinder than the airport staff and other service people we met during our short stay. I would definitely recommend it.
