De Sea Almond Hotel Chumphon

It is the standard 2 star (adequate, but not quite up to the standard of a good long term) hotel in a 5 star location. TV didn’t work properl, lots of cracks for bugs, NO bright lighting (bath was very dark and dim)… Very clean bed, and the service was spectacular. Breakfast was abandoned due to ant invasion.

We had rain one night and water came into the room. The balcony door does not seal properly and allows for bugs and insects to enter the room.

Hotel was charming with a unique decor - staff very accommodating and friendly. View wonderful and a homey feel with the two dogs that were present. Only concern was that air conditioner was working to full potential in the room I stayed in for one night. I would highly recommend the De Sea Almond Hotel in Chumphon , Thailand.

The hotel has two room sizes. The larger rooms were actually multiple rooms split between two floor. These rooms had an interesting architecture/style but need some maintenance. The smaller rooms were nice and better maintained. Breakfast was good. It included toast, fried dough, eggs, boiled rice and coffee or hot chocolate. There is a small beach and seating area in front of hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful.

They didn't have our booking and blamed some junior staff who had already finished work. They put us on the third floor with very bad aircon and bathroom. Don't waste your time and money here!

Used to be a cute small hotel but now the cleanliness and maintenance is fallen way behind.

The hotel has a great location but the beach is eating up the ground and due to this they built concrete sections. You can still swim and hotel got a seating area with shadow.. The room we stayed in, facing mountain, was ok but yiu can see that maintenance isn't a priority and not super clean. Too few electric sockets and none near bed. They provide an extender but had to disconnect the fridge to use it. Luckily we brought our own. Besides the owner, who was very friendly, staff a bit reserved initially but a few opened up up bit during our stay.
Hotel got three dogs that are hermless and friendly but the area got some that wont let you walk or go jogging in peace.
->One thing that was really negative was the cleaning during breakfast. Swiping the floor from dog hair and sand when people eating in the morning breeze wasn't nice. Breakfast is pork rice soup, egg, fried dough(Patongko), instant coffee, milo, tea, toast w butter and marmalade.
Overall a ok stay and cost for the location.

Das Hotel ist heruntergekommen. Bei meinem Zimmer war das "Deko"-Fenster undicht und der Regen hat hereingedrückt.

Difficult for old people to climb up to the room. The room is a bit run down. The owner and staff are friendly.

Quiet and easy going place. You wilk enjoy peace and quiet and there are good restaurants near by. Far to 7 eleven and ATM, but your host or some neighbor will take you there.
Breakfast was so so. Ok toast, but jam not good. Eggs were so so.
We enjoyed everything else big time.
Also, the restaurant with the beach site has good pot and good prices (if you are interested).
Good for kids also, safe and little traffic.
We loved it ❤️

kein mensch spricht englisch. anlage ist mitten im nichts. der strand ist total verwaist. die zimmer sind veraltet und der balkon schmutzig

Always hard to review 3 star hotel as tempted to compare to bigger hotel. Room was small but what should i expect for price. Did not like first impression with bed being mattress on raised cemet but surprisingly comfortable Staff were wonderful and extremely helpful. Even had breakfast served just before 6 so i could make ferry Are was not over developed that was nice. If you dont want luxury but could value i would highly recommend

Beautiful decorated hotel in a weird desolate surrounding.

Trendy urban hotel right on the seashore. Comfy bed. Basic bathroom but ok and hot water. Clean. Very basic amenities. Only major disappointment was lack of breakfast! We got there at 9:30 and nothing left!! No coffee, bread, not even mugs, glasses or salt! Only eggs. Waited for 20 minutes then left. 30 minutes later they has been shopping and tried to get us to come back but by this time we had to leave. The area is pretty but rather desolate.
