Days Hotel by Wyndham Toms River Jersey Shore

The location is nothing to look forward to, on a highway overlooking parking lots and trucks. Clean but my heat didn't work and as I only had a few hours to sleep, I didn't have the time or energy to have it fixed during my stay. And the refrigerator motor was screaming, had to pull it away from the wall to unplug. Then they accidentally charged me for the room twice, I've had to put a claim in with my bank. AND the "just night auditor", as she referred to herself, was incredibly rude and unhelpful. Stated she doesn't know much and was just waiting for her "relief". It was also way overpriced. I paid $240 for one night and that's at least twice what it should have been. Awful stay.

They had no hot water. The staff was not very helpful, except Ginger. She was as helpful and as polite as can be, I asked for a refund the gentleman that was working. said you can speak to the manager who guess what it’s not gonna be in for another week.

One of the elevators wasn't as smooth, so we used the other one.

Night crew misinformed me telling me the hotel no longer accepts military discounts but the morning crew advised me that when I go though a third party I won’t get the discount directly although I may contact them to request it which was helpful. This is my second stay there and the night crew has always seemed unfriendly toward military personnel. Asides from that the two elevators were out of service and we were staying on the top floor. Last but not least the pool needs a cleaning very badly.

The room smelled moldy and I saw under the sink that the drywall was peeling away from the wall around the plumbing. The pool was not heated as advertised. The pool towels can only fit around a small child not an adult. The front desk staff seemed to be sitting in the office every time I walked by. Thete were always large loud crowds in the lobby area or our front and my room was right there and I havw small children.

TV had very limited channels. There was no guide (on) the tv, so you had to change one channel at a time. Card provided with a channel list, however there was only about 12 channels on it. It seemed like the hotel was on a very limited TV plan. Hair dryer in zapped out, maintenance had to replace it. The shower was awful. About 20% came out of the shower head, the rest of the water was filling the tub. Did not work properly. Also, the drain wasn't working much at all. Took about an 30 minutes for the tub to drain after a shower. There is no way housekeeping didn't notice this when they cleaned the room/tub after each guest. I would not recommend eating breakfast there. Extremely over cooked. Was not good at all. For $250+ a night, go elsewhere.

Tom's river is close to Jersey Shore so most of guests were family using it as a base to go to beach, which was fine, but it meant the facilities were really angled towards families with small children- most of focus on the pool! I tried out the gym and it was largely non-functional. The aerobic equipment was generally broken with parts seemingly missing. The management seems to have given up on it. It was annoying that they would list this as an amenity, but not maintain it.

Ridiculous price for old crappy hotel

The internet service was very.bad. Need to upgrade service!
