Everything was top notch! - We had a really nice stay at the Grampian Hotel. The hotel is very clean, upgraded, friendly staff, comfortable rooms especially the bed. Breakfast was great as well. We had gotten a very spacious room at the front of the hotel, but the street noise (during the day) was a little loud and my husband was afraid he would have trouble sleeping. The staff very courteously moved us to the back of hotel. And we had a good night’s sleep.
One staff member was friendly enough as he welcomed us on arrival. The adjoining Nepalese restaurant was closed due to a gas problem with one of the ovens. Later in the evening, when we asked for an extra bottle of water each for the room (due to hot weather), we were told, "Bar", where we were charged £4 for two small bottles of still water. Breakfast choices are to be submitted the night before. Due to the hot weather, I chose the 'continental' breakfast, which ended up consisting of toast and warm yoghurt. Most hotels use the simple trick of putting yoghurt pots on ice to keep them cool over the breakfast period. Not here.
Lovely hotel, we stayed for two nights and were in room number 1. Very spacious, clean and well equipped. The bathroom has two fantastic very modern powerful showers, one a walk in and the other over the bath. (great for waking you up after a comfy night sleep.) Breakfast was filling and tasty (for hot food you make your selection the night before). The staff were very friendly and attentive

Close to everything. It was easily within walking distance of restaurants and bars and attractions and also the train station.

Das Restaurant hatte leider wegen eines Gaslecks geschlossen. Ein leckeres Frühstück gab es trotzdem.

No view from room
Hotel was easy to get to and had parking. It was also very close to the centre of Perth. The room was okay and the shower room was clean and looked new. Good location for visiting Scone Palace which was worth going to.
Unfortunately we had to leave a day early as my husband was quite ill with food poisoning. We don't know where he got it. We didn't eat in the hotel on the previous evening.
