I would certainly recommend Quality Inn Colonial to my friends and others.
Pros:

The breakfast was great. Menu was - lots of choice_ Staff were helpful and happy.
Great position. Close to the city and easy to navigate.
Well set up and everything you need in the accommodation.
Towels were automatically changed each day.

Very Poor Quality Inn
Pros:

The location was good.

Cons:

Our room was disgustingly dirty. Dust on top of the toilet roll holder. Who knows how long it hadn't been wiped. Dirty marks so over bathroom walls and dirt on tiles at bottom of wall that would come off if it had actually been mopped. Mold in the shower near the soap holder that also came off when I touched it so why was it there? Toilet was leaking also. Sheets were dirty. Reception left a note in the room saying they would call plumber and get cleaners in the next day. No other option but to stay as it was a busy weekend in Bendigo. Got back to room next day and none of it had been touched. No cleaners had been in. Oh and was told the day before check in when they called to take the money for the room that the pool and spa were under restoration which is why we booked that hotel late last year. Would have been nice to be told this so we could change hotels. Terrible Hotel. See photos.

Served it’s purpose for our last minute Easterbooking.
Pros:

Our room was simple but clean and functional.

Cons:

The cafe was not open yet but once i it is open Gallo will be a great asset.
It would be great to have an information sheet on cafes etc in the local area plus info on what is open in Bendigo on the Easter weekend which as we discovered is not much!

For two nights with family is just a basic stay.
Pros:

I had no breakfast option on my booking.

Cons:

The carpets were quite dirty.
All wardrobe handles were loose or out of order.
