Pros:

Lovely place, lovely room, lovely location

Cons:

The breakfast table had a very intrusive security guard who kept telling us how to make our breakfast. Very weird. The breakfast was also a bit poor.

Our room was on the lower level, directly on the street. probably 1000 people passed within 1' of our window. not exactly a retreat.

UNbeatable location but a bit tired for the price
Pros:

Super central, walking distance to town and to the beach, un beatable.

Cons:

Rooms are getting a bit tired. Breakfast staff not super helpful (just standing there looking at what customers are doing). Front desk staff also not super friendly.

Quintessential, Carmel-by-the-Sea. Quaint and charming, friendly staff, and immaculate.
Pros:

We love the convenience of the location, but we also love the charm of the nostalgia. It’s a piece of caramel by the sea.

Well situated,cozy and clean!
Pros:

We were lucky enough to find availability at this fabulous venue very last minute. Located on the edge of downtown, and only blocks from the beach, it is well situated and a fabulous value for the well healed community of Carmel by the Sea.
To start with, it has great curb appeal with a Historic old French vibe and a wide variety of available spaces— rooms of all sizes, plus small cabins. The warm and inviting staff, headed by the fabulous Cecile, couldn’t have been more friendly and gracious. Our room was large with an incredibly comfortable king size bed, and a newly refurbished bathroom with all the amenities we could want. Our accommodations were immaculate, and extremely pleasing to the eye. There was a beautiful pool on premises, which, unfortunately, due to the ambient temperature, we didn’t test out, but we made good use of the included more-than -ample continental breakfast. Even more desirable, was that parking was included in the nights stay something that is rarely found in this affluent community.
All of these offerings were included in the extremely attractive bottom line, which was a fraction of cost at several of the places in the area. I highly recommend.

Lovely stay in brilliant location
Pros:

Wonderful hotel in an incredible location for exploring Carmel. Great size room with very comfy beds. Ticked every box we needed for our stay. The reception staff were very kind and helpful too. We would happily return!

Cons:

Not a huge breakfast selection. Parking could also be challenging if very busy - but we didn’t have any issues at all finding spaces immediately outside.

Private, comfortable stay
Pros:

Fabulous location! Even distance between the beach and the shops in Carmel. Room was very spacious, with a sink room in addition to the full bath. A lot of storage in the room as well so we could really spread out. It felt very private as your door opened directly to the outside, so you didn't have to walk past the front desk all the time. We would stay again!

Cons:

While nice, the room was showing a little wear around the edges. The continental breakfast they offered looked disappointed so we went elsewhere during our stay. The shower also had a very low ceiling - the extra tall people would probably be hitting their heads!
