Quintessential, Carmel-by-the-Sea. Quaint and charming, friendly staff, and immaculate.
Pros:

We love the convenience of the location, but we also love the charm of the nostalgia. It’s a piece of caramel by the sea.

Cons:

There really is nothing that we did not like about this property.

Lovely stay in brilliant location
Pros:

Wonderful hotel in an incredible location for exploring Carmel. Great size room with very comfy beds. Ticked every box we needed for our stay. The reception staff were very kind and helpful too. We would happily return!

Cons:

Not a huge breakfast selection. Parking could also be challenging if very busy - but we didn’t have any issues at all finding spaces immediately outside.

Private, comfortable stay
Pros:

Fabulous location! Even distance between the beach and the shops in Carmel. Room was very spacious, with a sink room in addition to the full bath. A lot of storage in the room as well so we could really spread out. It felt very private as your door opened directly to the outside, so you didn't have to walk past the front desk all the time. We would stay again!

Cons:

While nice, the room was showing a little wear around the edges. The continental breakfast they offered looked disappointed so we went elsewhere during our stay. The shower also had a very low ceiling - the extra tall people would probably be hitting their heads!

It’s our favorite place to stay when we come to Carmel.
Pros:

Everything! Daniella is awesome in the breakfast room. Love seeing her each time we come during the week.

Cozy and charming and clean, exceptional value for the price!!
Pros:

The staff was warm and welcoming, extending themselves to help us situate. The place is cute, very cozy and exceptionally clean. The bed was amazingly comfortable, and the bathroom recently updated with everything we could need. Breakfast the next morning was complementary, continental and satisfying. The location was a couple of blocks from the main part of town and in the other direction from the beach. Loved the fact that parking was included. The price was beyond competitive, and we were extremely fortunate to find this place at last minute.
Cecile, the general manager could not have been kinder and she has every right to be proud of her establishment and her staff

Not a luxury stay, but it is comfortable and puts you in a great location at a reasonable price.
Pros:

Excellent location on Ocean Ave., just a couple of minutes walk to the iconic Carmel beach, as wel as to so many restaurants and shops! It is one of the classic Carmel motels that has been there forever (literally over 100 years!).

Cons:

Breakfast was not great (minimal and not of great quality). The room was well maintained and clean, but rather small.
