breakfast was very ordinary
my friend and i asked where we could get a beer and no one at reception knew. 2 weeks later, we found that the Bier Ort was just 20 steps from the hotel. the staff really did not know much at all about the area. Very disappointing. Also, the blurb in the ad promised "cheese" and I thought they'd have that at breakfast. Nah - no cheese, ever. I don't think the staff even knew what it was that had been advertised. So, a lot of blissful ignorance at the Kalya. Most days I pass by, and I've thought of calling in and letting them know there IS a place to get beer - the Bier Ort, AND also a wine shop called "Peak" that is likewise only 20 steps from the Kalya. Sigh.
Location is great, evening check in staff member very good, breakfast staff excellent. Beds very comfortable. Breakfast was quite good, egg section excellent. Sky lounge is quite nice. Housekeeping staff very nice.
Cleanliness of room ok, but maintenance of room not great, shower door missing bottom roller and handle only attached at top, water barely warm ( could have been worse - other members of our group had a room with no shower door, bathroom continually wet ). Bathroom basin did not drain properly. Reported issues, not addressed during stay. Staff on check out not particularly helpful, didn't know how to order a taxi. View non existent, I'd advise against staying in a front facing room. Concerns about security as elevator card reader not active during stay, free access at any time.
The breakfast food spread not bad but there are still room for improvements. The house keeping team did an excellent job cleaning the rooms. Bravo! 👍👍

It has covenience store. McD around the corner, cafes, and all.
The hotel need major revamping. Things are aging here and there.

Location is great. Close to Dago.
Parking space is limited. They provide you with vallet, which is great. But it is cumbersome if you need to get things from your car.
