Short walk to the Ao Nang beach, plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, with a 7 11 round the corner. Very close to Ao Nang night market which was amazing !!
Lovely clean rooms & very spacious - we could not fault!! Service was great and all staff so helpful and friendly. Definitely recommend.
Very clean, nice and spacious rooms, recently renovated. Complimentary coffee and water every day. Short walk to beach and nig market. However, the receptionist does not speak English, it's really a pity for such a touristic place as Krabi. We had a few questions but she was unable to help us.
I enjoyed my 3 nights at this hotel. The location is good between the 2 beaches an easy walk. Close to the night market. Staff friendly. Breakfast pretty good! Rooms are clean. Aircon ok although leaked abit of water but they fixed it and belcony is great. I reccomend for a cheaper hotel!
so me and my wife booked this place for 8 nights. we got there and spent 1 night then my wife started getting sick from the mold in the room. at lunch time we asked for them to fix it but they just came in and looked at it and did nothing. later they tried to make it seem that it's our fault for not saying anything the moment we walked into the room. we asked for a transfer to another room but that one had mold on the bottom of the bathroom door. other rooms they showed us were not the rooms we had paid for. like a room with a view of a brick wall. the manager said if we cancel then we will lose all of our money. it got to a point where she called the owner of the hotel and he was very sympathetic to our cause and told us we could have a full refund (except the night we had stayed already) which I thought was great. once we were off the phone the manager had this idea we will check out the next day (making it 2 nights in the hotel) I said we wanted to check out right away. even though we wanted to check out the manager was trying to still calculate the refund minus 2 nights stay. so we had to phone the owner again and again this owner was a star player telling his staff to refund us all the money (except the first night). so that's my little story. the stairs in this place make you feel like it's a bad acid trip. no swimming pool and the breakfast is lacking and for a similar price you can stay at the Naga pura (Ramada). I feel sorry for the owner of this place. he seems like a good person but just terrible management.
Full of problems:
1. We are group of 16 people arrived and could not find a sign board of this hotel. The drivers of our vans struggled a lot to locate some phone number. Then a lady came out and took us in a very narrow stair case, climbled one floor, then down half floor, then climbed one and half floor, then down 2 flor to reach at the reception. We came to know that there is a gate at the reception approachable from road directly. I could not understand why they had closed that creating problem for us.
2. There is no lift and narrow stair case.
3. Check in was horrible. Staff did not care our concern and took lot of time.
4. Again climbed many staircase to reach our room. Many times I got lost there to find my room during my stay.
5. When I entered my room, there was leakage of water in my bathroom. The door was half damaged and disfigured due to water leakage. It seems the problem was already there but they have not fixed it. When complained, they sent a person who repaired within few minutes. We planned to see sun set at beach but due to this we missed sun set.
6. Far away fro beach and we walked a lot.
7. When we returned after our dinner, we found the same water leakage problem in bathroom. We called in hotel number, no body picked. There was no body at reception or main gate also.
8. Finding no way we managed the night. No security at hotel. If you have any emergency, then leave it to the mercy of God.
9. Breakfast was very bad taste.
10. Next day also they could not repair water leakage problem. When we returned from our day trip, they offered us to change the room. We were not in a position to pack our luggage again and change the room at some higher floor. Since, we had planned to vacate our room next day morning at 8 am, finding no other way, we managed that night with lot of difficulties.
11. Though the beds were well decorated, but my overall experience was horrible.
So, neither I recommend this hotel to anybody nor I will come once again to this hotel.
Helpful and attentive front desk staff. We were arrived a bit late and front desk staff helped us arrange everything we need including island tour package for the next day and shuttle bus to airport because I will have to leave very early on the day after. Hotel have all the service you need (e.g. laundry, motorbike rental, various tour package, van and ferry ticket) You can borrow beach towel for free. Nice amenity kit with the ear-plug and mosquito repellent.
No elevator. Air-con was noisy during the night. They clean hotel floor with something which left a bit sticky touch when we walk around (you have to take your shoes off in front of the hotel before enter lobby) It's quite a distance to Aonang Beach (still in walking-distance though)
First of, if you like stairs this hotel for you, I would say it's a kingdom of stairs! I count them especially: from room to breakfast 50 stairs. I came from/to room about 3 times per day, for 14 days it's a 4200 stairs (e.g. Tiger cave has only 1260 stairs). Air conditioner start leaking and then stop working with error code. Without it is very stuffy in the room. When air conditioner or fridge turning on a TV turning off for a moment. Bedclothes wasn't changed in two weeks. Breakfast is good, bathroom is clear. I wouldn't visit this place one more time.
When we arrived to This hotel, we were a bit worried. The front side of the hotel looked like a garage. They apparently had lobby renovation going on. Walk to the reception which was located in the basement and to our room on the 4th floor with our luggage seemed like and never ending hell of stairs. We got our room, which was in the new building, very nice deluxe room. Ac was good, room was very clean and we had a nice little balcony. Water was provided daily. Breakfast was ok, not the best. Don’t let the outside fool you, it’s a really nice hotel from the inside!
Highly recommended 👍🏾
It is a very good place to stay several days. The staff is ok, but the level of English it is a bit low. The rooms are nice and clean, and all have balconies. The bathroom is small but clean. The breakfast was nice, but not so varied.
Golden Moon Ao nang is a clean, cozy and nice located hotel, one of the best experiences in Krabi. Nice breakfast and very good massage salon just near the hotel. And all this is offered at affordable price
We stay here for 1 night before going to Koh phi phi, a good place with reasonable price, the staffs are not so much friendly but still acceptable, you can go to the beach that is not so far (approx 10 minutes on foot), highly recommend for staying here
We stayed here for 6 days while staying in Aonang. The personal was nice enough and allowed us to have the room although it was only 11am (we arrived at 8am at the hotel, due to early morning flight). The room was very clean.Every day they'd offer complimentary bottled water/coffee in the room. Daily change of towels was a nice addition also. They would cook us breakfast every morning (either omelet or sandwiches) plus they would have noodles or rice with vegetables, fresh fruits etc. All in all a very good experience for that price range.
Spent 3 nights here recently and overall our stay was not satisfying.
Pros
-Good location
-Budget friendly
-Overall clean, big rooms
Cons
-No elevator, had to climb to 4th floor every time
-LOTS of ants in the room and in the toilette around the sink (even inside the safety box, and now my girlfriend's computer is infected with them). I had to buy my own repellant as we did not get any action from the staff.
-VERY noisy AC (we mentioned this to the reception, they said an electrician would come but by they didn't. Slept with ear plucks every night.
-Bad pillows. We asked for different ones, reception said ok and finally we got the exact SAME pillows we already had. They had no other kind of pillows so be sure to bring your own if your neck gets sore easily.
-The hallway outside our room smelled really strange (moisture damage?)
-Service quality overall was not satisfactory. Staff did not understand english very well so it was hard trying to describe our issues to them.
Above all:
-SMILE! As a customer, even with all the above issues, our overall experience would have been better if the staff would have even tried to look friendly and smiled a bit. Now we got a feeling that they did not like to work there and took us as a hindrance rather than paying customers.
I understand it is a 2,5 star hotel but it is not an excuse to operate on this level.
Great size room with fresh clean linen and washed everyday. Amazing location to walk to the pubs restaurants and the beach! I highly recommend booking the kayak trip with this hotel as they offered the cheapest rate. Staff were extremely helpful as we forgot some swim wear and then they kindly shipped it back to us! If we visit Krabi again will definitely stay here!!! 5*
I stayed a week here and I loved it. Small, quiet, the room was large with a balcony and all amenities one would need like tea kettle, fridge, good AC,good shower.
Very clean property and offers a nice breakfast.
The location is like 10 minutes walk away from the beach road but you have a 7/11 nearby plus a lot of places to eat.
I would definitely return as it's great value for money.
Good hotel for staying with friends or family! Free Wi-Fi, breakfast including, the rooms is clear and big. Near the hotel have markets, trip services, SPA and massage service. About 300 meters you can see the great beach.
Recommended to all!
Hotel was well priced and perfectly located, short walk and you have the beach and markets, boat rides, restaurants, massages, all of it! It was noisy during the day as they were under construction but it was always clean and they gave clean towels every day, plus beach towels! Only downside is that we had to leave! 😭
This is a good hotel, close enough to amenties to walk, and an easy communal taxi-van ride to Krabi and the weekend market.
The staff is very helpful on any subject from what to do in the area and where to catch taxi-vans, to booking our transport to the airport. One woman at the front desk speaks very good English.
The rooms are well furnished and spotlessly clean. The beds are good, the bathrooms are good. A fridge, kettle and safe are provided in the rooms, as are daily small bottles of water and tea and coffee sachets. Mosquito repellent units are employed in the corridors.
Breakfast is simple but tasty and quite adequate.
The only downside to the hotel is the construction next door, which stops on Sunday only. Fortunately our stay was over a weekend, so it did not worry us unduly.
The Krabi weekend market is a must. The food on offer from the various stalls would tempt anyone.
