Shining Waters Country Inn

We had a lovely room with a view of the ocean from one window and a view beyond the Cavendish visitor center from the other. The staff, especially Emily, were polite, professional and very helpful . . . she also made a nice breakfast he next morning. We visited in the second week of October and found many restaurants and businesses had already closed for the winter. There is an easy half mile walk to the beautiful beach on the Gulf of St. Lawrence. The “Anne of Green Gables” sites are very close and most enjoyable.

Lovely stay, Emily was very helpful and kind. We will be back for sure.

The staff was welcoming and the bed was comfortable however my bedroom smelled like urine which made me feel pretty uncomfortable

The location was great, walking distance to the ocean to watch the sunrise at 7 am. Also really close to a great restaurant called the lost anchor. Affordable to stay in the inn, it’s too bad the rooms don’t really have anything original from the 1800s except the window which had a lot of character. The blanket was just a fleece. Clean for a dated room and the lovely vanilla scented shampoo and conditioner set was a bonus. Breakfast included really tasty ham, sausages, eggs, low quality yogurt, bagel/toast/etc and drinks

Anne of Green Gables National Park within walking distance. Lovely old Inn built in 1942. Needs updating. Reliable WiFi. Clean throughout. Helpful staff. Room could use a chair to watch TV or use a laptop, and a small refrigerator. Some breakfast items were in short supply. Parking was free. Located next door to the Lost Anchor Seafood restaurant! Good value for money.

Loved everything about our stay! The room was comfortable and spacious. It was nice to have breakfast included and had good options. The staff were so kind, and really made us feel welcomed.
The pool is also amazing and well maintained.

It was adequate. We had a poor night sleep because I was busy swatting 100s of gnats (tiny flies) in bathroom and bedroom. I wanted to call the front desk to see if they could do anything about it or better still change the room. There was no on at the front desk, so we stuck it out and went downstairs for an ok breakfast and we left.

We chose shinning waters because of its convenient location to the confederation trail, it had a breakfast. , and the price was decent.
We were just off season so there was very few people.
I think it would be a great spot for families in the summer.

Attractive exterior. Comfortable common room. Funky and spacious rooms, well-kept and clean.

The staff were amazing, they made sure we had everything we needed. The pool was still open for our stay in September and we really enjoyed it!

This property was a surprise for how lovely it is. The room was large and well appointed. It seems that it was renovated recently. Very comfortable and spacious.The large jacuzzi tub was a nice surprise. The location is excellent for the Cavendish area, Parking is very convenient. Definitely recommend

Breakfast was area was good

It's close to the Natural Park with a walking trail/path. Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. I'll definitely be back!

September is hard for them with less staff

True country type property , old style lodge rooms but clean and beds were comfy , breakfast included
