Great place to stay
Pros:

We had a very nice stay at the Altoona Grand hotel. We will definitely be returning whenever we come back to Altoona. The weekend breakfast was fantastic and the staff was all friendly and very helpful!

Cons:

I would have liked if there were tea bags in the room with the coffee stuff as well.

Pros:

It was a clean room

Cons:

Seemed really old. Room was clear in a back parking lot behind a wooded area, making outside entry door a little scary for 2 single, older women. Rough looking parking lot. Never again.

Thank you for accommodating us with 2 consecutive bedrooms as we requested
Cons:

-Strong Smoke smell in the hallways (wedding party in their rooms?) AND in the hallway outside our rooms
-Crowded, long line, Traffic flow at the breakfast bar (strike nurses, wedding party)
-Needed 2 breakfast bars
-Crowded corner, lack of space by the self-serve waffle irons at the exit/entrance
-A stranger in the back parking lot asked me to let him in. His hotel key was not working

Cons:

Only has one elevator and our room was on the second floor so you could only access the pool area by stairs. The room smelled and the air conditioning was loud and humming all night.I would not recommend if you have mobility or walking issues bc the eating area is quite a distance from the rooms. We arrived later in the evening and the outdoor lighting and signage was very poor. I would not stay here again.

Pros:

Felt safe.

Cons:

Rates much higher than newer properties nearby. Menu in room but 3 digit phone number provided to call from room, no phone in room. Breakfast is sad. Variety is pour. Only fruit is apples.

Overall good stay
Pros:

Great locations and price was right.

Cons:

Breakfast was included but they did not replenish the items which were done for others to actually eat a full breakfast and their was an hour left on the window for it to close.

Not what it looked like in the pictures and did not meet expectations when you think of grand !
Pros:

It was in a nice location and close to everything. It had a nice e pool for the kids to play in. Nice breakfast in the morning.

Cons:

The rooms were outdated and dirty. There was something all over the ceiling in the bedroom. There were no towels in our room when we got there. Had to go to the front desk to get them. Then went to go to bed and there were no sheets or anything for the pullout bed. Had to go request them from the front desk. But they did bring them to us in a timely manner and apologized for the inconvenience.

Reunion weekend stay
Pros:

This is the 4th time at this hotel. My brother recommended it. It's very nice. The staff is very friendly, the rooms are very clean. We have decided that is the only hotel we'll stay at during or reunion weekend.
