The hotel sits well outside central Dubai, roughly 25 to 30 km from the city and around 6 to 8 km from the Jumeirah area. The property is split into two connected buildings. One houses the main hotel and the other serviced apartments. We stayed in the apartment block but had to walk across to the hotel for breakfast and other meals.
The apartment itself was spacious and comfortable, with very effective air conditioning and plenty of room to move around. An extra bed we had requested in advance had been missed initially. It did arrive later after a wait of about two hours, but it was old, unstable and on wheels, which was disappointing for a relatively new Marriott affiliated property.
The apartment building lobby felt dated, closer to something from the 1990s, with small retail outlets selling miscellaneous items displayed on utilitarian metal shelving. By contrast, the hotel lobby was modern. Unfortunately, the first thing we noticed there was cleaning equipment left in plain sight near the toilet entrance on the mezzanine, which did not create a good first impression.
Room service was effectively nonexistent. Simple requests such as extra towels or general questions required multiple calls and some patience before reaching the right department.
One clear positive is the complimentary shuttle service to various locations, which is very useful given the hotel’s location. These need to be booked in advance.
Breakfast was served in a large dining area with a broad selection. Western items such as eggs, breads, croissants and toast were done well. Indian options were less consistent. Idlis were undercooked and parathas lacked authenticity. Overall, breakfast was still satisfactory.
Staff were a highlight throughout our stay. The restaurant manager appeared tireless, the egg station cook became more cheerful as the room filled up, the entrance staff remembered us each morning and reception staff were efficient and welcoming.
All things considered, this is a solid and reasonably priced option if you are comfortable staying outside central Dubai.

I stayed at the Vintage Grand Hotel from 28th November. This was my second stay at the hotel, and just like my previous visit, it was once again a very pleasant and comfortable experience.
I would like to specially mention Lalit, the housekeeping assistant, who was always attentive in keeping the room neat and tidy and was consistently helpful. My thanks also go to Ratheesh, the housekeeping supervisor, for his support and professionalism.

False advertising, poor service, and unfair money handling
We booked this hotel through Booking.com because it advertised a swimming pool. But when we arrived, there was no pool at all — complete false advertising.
The front desk staff were unfriendly and unwelcoming, with serious faces and unwilling to talk — we felt completely ignored.
They took a $200 cash deposit, and upon check-out, said they would return it in dirhams. They gave it back using a low exchange rate of 3.5, so we lost money.
The room smelled bad and was damp, with clear signs of humidity and poor ventilation.
Overall, a very disappointing experience. The hotel does not match the description, the staff were cold, and the handling of money was dishonest. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

В номерах неприятный запах, влажность, чувствуется сырость и отсутствие нормальной вентиляции.
В целом — очень плохой опыт. Реклама вводит в заблуждение, сервис на нуле, персонал холодный, а с деньгами — нечестный подход. Не рекомендую.
Disappointing from the start.
We were a group of seven friends, booked 2 apartments.
• The listing said there’s a swimming pool — there was none.
• They never mentioned a deposit. At check-in we were charged 500 AED, gave $200 in cash, and got it back at a terrible exchange rate — we lost money.
• Staff was rude, unhelpful and unprofessional. No support, no hospitality.
This was supposed to be a vacation, but it felt like a scam.
Absolutely not recommended.

Amazing staff
Please note: I visited in 06/23, but unfortunately, that time frame cannot be selected. At this time the place was called "Ghaya Grand Dubai"
My stay was extremely disappointing and did not meet any expectations of a 5-star hotel. The facilities were outdated, service was lacking, and the overall experience felt cheap and rushed. I can absolutely not recommend this place to anyone looking for quality or comfort. Definitely look elsewhere.
