Cons:

Only a minor complaint but the lifts are slow to arrive but I’m fit enough to use the stairs so not a problem

One night ,one terrific stay.
Pros:

Excellent location for lone traveller,staff most accomodating re.early check in,leaving case at end of trip.Room spotless,bed comfy,quiet.Wonderful shower.Breakfast spot on,with exception of watery orange juice/squash,but an overall terrific experience.Shall rebook.

Short Stay.
Pros:

The location is exactly what I wanted, close to rail and shopping.

Cons:

I found the corridors leading to the room to be very tired. The room whilst clean the walls were also in need of some TLC. I also found the bed to be extremely uncomfortable. The pocket springs had failed making the bed lumpy.

Fabulous as always.
Pros:

Ambience of hotel, location, friendly attentive staff and a superb breakfast. Room lovely, nice bathroom and comfy bed. Great location for train and buses to other locations if necessary.

Cons:

Having to make a waffle on the machine, I'm no good at it.

Excellent facilities and location for a budget hotel
Pros:

Overall, I was really impressed with my stay at the Hampton in Newcastle. For a budget hotel, it punches above its weight with excellent amenities and a location right next to the train station.

The room was spacious. While the bed was a standard double rather than a king, it was very comfortable. There is also a sofa (though it felt a bit stiff as a seat, I can't speak for how it sleeps!). I was pleased to find all the essentials provided: hairdryer, ironing board, and kettle. The room also had a large desk with a proper office chair. I wasn't there to work, but if you are, this is a good setup.

The ground-floor entrance is a bit austere. Arriving late on a Friday, we were met by a security guard checking names against a guest list. I’m not sure if that made me feel extra safe or a little concerned!

I expected a very basic spread since breakfast is included for everyone, but I was genuinely impressed. It has all the staples (cereals, pastries, and a full hot selection) plus a few item touches you don't always see even in expensive hotels: veggie sausages AND a waffle machine (the highlight of my morning).
