Quiet forest environment with lake. Beautiful in the snow. Well staffed and helpful. A good place if you are an international traveller looking to avoid other tourists. Guests are almost all Japanese. Wonderful stay.

Wonderful Experience in a Peaceful, Nature-Connected Atmosphere

We stayed at the hotel for three nights and the experience was delightful. Our room was spacious and featured a stunning panoramic view of the lake, creating a serene atmosphere and genuine connection to the surrounding nature. The beds were very comfortable and contributed to a quality sleep.

The breakfast was rich and varied, with both Japanese and Western options - each of us found exactly what suited our taste. The quality of the food was high and the selection was extensive.

While the hotel's style is somewhat dated, that's actually part of its charm. Most importantly - everything is maintained to an excellent standard and feels clean and well-kept. The staff was simply wonderful - attentive, considerate, and always ready to help with a smile.

We would definitely return and highly recommend!

Cons:

The main drawbacks were related to the pool and onsen facilities. The distance to the swimming pool from our room was quite far, which was somewhat inconvenient.
Additionally, both the pool and onsen were only open from the afternoon onwards. We would have enjoyed the experience much more if these facilities had been available during the early morning hours as well, rather than only in the evening. Having morning access would have been perfect for starting the day refreshed before heading out for activities.

Cons:

実は、当日の朝、宿泊メンバーの一人のお宅に不幸ができたので、予定人数が5人から4人に変更になってしまったんです。当日ではありますが、登山をしていましたので、お山の上から人数変更をホテルに連絡しました。到着時の対応は、「事前精算なので、支払いの変更はできない」の一言でした。事前に連絡していても職員間の情報共有はなかったようです。自動チェックインでもいいのではないかと思いました。

湖のすぐそば！
Pros:

湖の側で、清々しい空気の中、朝の散歩がとても心地良かった。そういう意味も含めて、立地が良い。天井の高いラウンジも居心地が良い。朝食レストランの入口にテイクアウト出来るコーヒーのサービスがあるのが親切。レセプションの方も丁寧で感じが良い。

Cons:

湖側の部屋は明るいですが、駐車場側の部屋は暗くて寂しい。
1番のネックはお風呂。道路を挟んだ向かいのハーベストまで行かなくてはならないので、ご高齢の方には不便(シャトルバス有)。朝食は時間によってかなり混み合うので、予約制にすれば良いのに、といつも感じる。全体的に古い(特に部屋と売店)ので、そろそろリニューアルが求められるかも。

In general we had a wonderful time.
Pros:

It’s built in an exceptional location, the interior is spaciaus and comfortable and decorated with a very good taste, the whole place has an atmosphere that resonates the Italian alps. Many family friendly activities and very nice onsen which is open until mid night.

Cons:

Very limited choice to dine. The places recommended by them were over priced for what they served.
