Comfort Elite Hotel Sultanahmet

Offered 90 min hammam by 'the owner' to include 60min massage and 15 min exfoliation. 15 min massage plus 5 min exfoliation. Not given opportunity to put swimming costume on in a very seedy establishment. It really was too good to be true for 30 euros.

This has been the worst turkish hamam I have been to (and I have been to many). The whole experience should be relaxing and ritualistic, but this has been neither. Instead of doing sauna, peeling, soap massage and oil massage (the right order, as they do literally everywhere else), they first sent us to oil massage, after that with masks on our face to sauna (which literally makes no sense to go to sauna covered in oil). They hurry us to sauna, but we could not leave sooner than we were told. After that, they have done soap & peeling all together which left our skin completely dry. Not to mention, that instead of doing me and my friends at the same time, one of us was just watching the other one, what was kind of weird (and I can imagine for many people absolutely unpleasant). Surprisingly no one asked us whether we liked this experience. Also, the place could have been cleaner.

De Wifi is niet goed

Ok place for a low price. Wifi was not good in my room, I could not rely on it for working etc. The cleaning was actually really poor. Breakfast was ok, and they made home made bread etc. Plus for 24 h reception, good location (2 min from grand bazaar) and cheap massage and hammam in basement that was ok!

They rob my shoes and the worst is that the manager accuse us.
Bad hotel, bad staff and horrible ladies in massage. It is dirty and unsafe. Don't go or take care of you and your stuffs.

Disgusting ! It will be better for you to change your job as you are a so bad manager with a so bad staff.

My girlfriends and I were planning to go to Greece but the borders had just been closed. It was so meant to be that we traveled to Istanbul and discovered the Comfort Elite Hotel. We loved the staff! They truly made our stay comfortable and met our every need. Due to Covid 19, they weren't able to provide breakfast as they normally do so they accomodated for us a breakfast on the 7th floor terrace! The terrace has spectacular views and was the perfect spot for a girls breakfast. The location is ideal and the cost is phenominal. We would like to highlight Mehmet, Nusret, Can and Cesure for their attention to detail and excellent hospitality! Looking forward to staying at this property again in the future.

Gammalt, smutsigt och låg standard överlag. Ligger bra rent avståndsmässigt bad gäller centrala delar.

We stayed at Comfort Elite for three nights mid-October...
The hotel is situated perfectly between Old Sultanahmet & new town. It is a few minutes walk from the Grand Bazaar and about a 20 minutes walk downhill to the Blue Mosque. The tram stop is close to the hotel or you can easily find a taxi (you will need to haggle on the quote given).

The hotel itself is clean and comfortable and is perfect for a short trip, the breakfast is basic, but good and enough to keep you going until lunch. I only have two gripes about the hotel, 1) the shower had no curtain or door & the bathroom would just get too wet... 2) the staff were polite, but no one smiled or went out of their way to talk to you and having been to Turkey many times I know that this is something that Turkish people, especially hotel staff are really good.

My wife and me got an information, that we can do here a excellent 90 min. Hammam Bath, with the full program. We went inside, changed our clothes and startet in the basement with 15 min. Sauna. After this 15. min., nobody cared about us and nobody told us, what is the next step. We had to wait... Finally ater 20 min. waiting time, the "Spa Boss" called us and lead us upstairs again. Here we had to wait again 15 min. Before we got our 30 min. massage. The two massagestuff wasn't qualified and talked the whole time nonstop and beside, the TV with turkish program was running also. No comfort, no time for relaxing and no calm. It was one of the most horrible massage, what we ever had. And also it was just 20 min., instead of the promised 30 min. First cheating! After this massge, we had to go downstairs and should wait again. After the next 20 min. waiting, they try to divided us and sent me alone inside the Sauna again and my wife should wait continue outside. After a long time again, the final "Soapmassage" was just a 5 min. washing and going out. We explained this at the reception to the "Spa Boss", that we was finally more inside a waiting line, instead of inside the booked Spaprogram. The responsible person got angry and shouted in front of the lobby at us, because he didn't know, how to work with constructive criticism. Finally he called my wife "b**tch" in turkish language and disappeared. We understood it, because our turkish is well and he dind't knew it. After 30 min., we went back with two police men and we got all our money back, because he did a crime and all was recorded by the camera behind the reception.To all tourists in Istanbul and turkey. Don't let you cheat from turkish people! In the worse case, threatened with police and they do what you want!

The location is perfect and the condition was ok but less than what I expect for a 4 stars hotel. poor wifi connection also.

Il serait préférable de mettre une vitre dans la cabine de douche pour éviter de mettre de l’eau dans toute la salle de bains.

Petit déjeuner copieux et bon.
Propreté de la chambre et de l’hôtel.

Oh my god, I don't even know where to start.
We went to the massage place downstairs, we did not stay at the hotel.
Me and my husband,both muslims, where I'm wearing the hijab, got told by staff that it was family friendly and there would be NO MEN. We went inside, and there were men everywhere. It was totally rushed and I basically had to guess whether a man could come around the corner and see me (keep in mind that you're naked with only a small towel around you). The massage was awful and hurt alot, and the hamam only took a couple minutes. We waited like 40 minutes for the massage.

They scam you to think its relaxing and that its only women/ safe for muslim couples; it's not.

I had the best experience ever with this stuff, with breakfast and free wifi. Also, it’s location helped me too much, it’s near the tram station, and on the opposite site of bayazit bazzar, the best hotel, I would recommend it for all our family and friends ❤️
