Could have been a bit cleaner in the rooms and especially the shower.

Dirty and old 'hotel', looking more like a shared house. The kitchen was dirty and it was not clear what we can cook, what options we had. There was not much choice, we decided to eat elsewhere. The room was extremely small, dark and dated. We could not lock the door from inside. The bed was uncomfortable. My friend ended up seeing the doctor due to bed bugs. Too expensive for the facilities, lack of space, dark, this should be 1 star accommodation and the word 'hotel' should be removed from its name.

Window did not shut and the raod traffic is noisy

Le wi-fi ne fonctionnait pas, il manque un meuble pour poser nos affaires dans la salle de bain. Quelques travaux d'amélioration pourraient être fait.

Not really a big thing but no hot drink facilities in the room.
You can make one in the kitchen and take it to your room.

Nothing as such

Unfortunately there were bed bugs. The morning after I slept on the bed, I had bites on my body and ended up seeing two of them on the bed over the next 24 hours.

Nothing all good

The room was not suitable for 2 people and we were not aware that the place was a hostel. The window was too small with absolutely no air coming through when open. It didn’t help that it was a heatwave. It was so bad that we only stayed one night out if the three we had booked. We had to spend over the odds to get a different hotel with air conditioning and better facilities.

I stayed at the City Lodge London from June 22nd to June 24th, 2026, and it was a dire experience. The hotel is infested with bedbugs, resulting with one of my travel companion to be bitten, and forcing all four of us to apply a strict quarantine protocol with all our luggage to prevent further contamination on our way back.

Beyond the bedbug issue, the overall state of the hotel is dismal. It is completely run-down, the carpets are extremely dirty, showers are filthy and the entire place is not maintained. And there is no air conditioning, the fan being but a small solace as we faced a major heatwave...

To make matters worse, when we confronted the manager, he admitted that they had already dealt with bedbugs before (6 months ago), claiming it is a "recurring problem in the hotel industry." He promised us to ensure that an expert will come and check out the situation, but one week later (and despite a follow-up email) we have received no response. This is completely unacceptable and does nothing to address the lack of hygiene in his own establishment.

Do yourself a favour and avoid this place!

Mijn kamer lag direct aan de weg, op 300 meter van een politiebureau. Dat betekenden dat ik geregeld wakker schoot in de nacht. De hittegolf was iets waar niemand iets aan kon doen, maar daardoor kon ik ook de ramen niet sluiten, en doorluchten wilde ook niet, waardoor de hitte enorm bleef hangen en mijn kamer beduidend warmer was dan de andere ruimtes.
