Great value for money even if the hotel is a bit worn around the edges
Pros:

The hotel has a great historic atmosphere with a grand if somewhat tired lobby. The room was basic but comfortable. The room featured a nice mattress and excellent bedding. There was also a microwave in the room but no kettle unfortunately. The room was very quiet, although there were very few guests staying at the hotel while we were there. This is a very reasonably priced hotel, and while the rooms and common areas are dated, this is still very good value for money in my view.

Cons:

The heat seemed to be turned off in common spaces and even our bedroom was a bit chilly. As mentioned above the hotel has seen better days so everything seems a bit old and dilapidated.

I was happy with it. Would stay there again.
Pros:

The hotel is sweet and retro in a kitchy kind of way; probably not to everyone's taste but I thought it was great. Very clean and quiet, which we appreciated.

Cons:

It took five full minutes of running the water to get it hot enough for a shower. Also, only one tiny round of soap, which we made work but another one would have been better.

Cons:

The communal spaces like the lobby had the scent of cat urine.
When mentioning this to the reception, excuses were made.
The bathtub had no facility to prevent slipping, so I almost fell in the shower.
No breakfast is offered at the hotel.
