The staff are excellent- they made us feel very welcome and there were lots of little touches. From the sweet handwritten card to fudge and renewal of the caramel bars each night to offering an ice bucket when we brought our drinks up to our room in the evening.
We cannot fault it. .

Nothing - although there are stairs and no lift so this could be an issue for some people, but we had no complaints.

Great location, friendly staff, spotlessly clean, room with a view, bar-28 was a great place to have pre dinner drinks.
There wasn’t anything to dislike it was perfect.
A beautiful hotel with character but modern facilities with a bar and Comedy venue beside it. Location is central perfect for train/bus station, Princes Street, St Andrews Square and Leith Walk.
The bar shut @ 11pm with no concessions for residents.

Excellent location and very friendly staff. The room was on the smaller side, but had everything you might need for a comfortable stay. Lovely atmosphere, although the location can be a little noisy. There’s a great stand-up comedy club in the basement – highly recommended!
The hotel was a unique destination stay. It was well presented and the staff were regularly on hand to answer questions and provided a great level of customer support.

It was a really great hotel, we felt cared for from the start. We got our keys and went out again, our bags were in our rooms later. Note there is no elevator, but that's the only thing not positive to say. There was a personalised note in the room, the room was clean, it got cleaned every day, if we wanted we could have had new towels every day, though they are also very environmentally conscious. Breakfast is not included but you can just come down and decide every day if you want some continental breakfast. The staff is really friendly, we asked about some activities and the not just told us where to go, but remember and asked the next day if we found everything and enjoyed the tour. The bar downstairs is well stocked and a great way to end the day. It took us maybe 15 minutes to walk to the royal mile.
