The breakfast is extremely good and very worth value for money . After I changed my room they gave a suite which was extremely big and very nice and comfortable
The cockroach in my room on the very first day and after 2 days was able to change my room because they said that it had to undergo pest control even after it had been cleaned properly. Also it is very difficult to go via elevator again and again as the hotel rooms start at around 15 or 17 floor .

Advertised restaurant/bar but not really a bar. No alcoholic beverages available. No door on shower which left a mess and no bath mat to clean it up. No hand towel after washing hands.
Five days here and I loved every bit of it. Julieth, Jamila, and Phillipo the gym instructor were outstanding, every single day, the kind of staff that make you want to come back. My room had a big window with a magnificent view of Dar es Salaam City Centre, which was the perfect way to start each morning. Highly recommend!
Great service from entrance to exit. Jamila who served the conference was very warm and professional. The food in the buffets were excellent but the deserts were simply next level.
Nice location in the centre of the city, near some shops and within walking distance of the sea. Rooftop restaurant with a view of the city. Atmosphere is very formal and business-like (a lot of business dinners happen here).
Not all staff is helpful, and I had an event where the reception called my room in odd hours to sort a registration issue (once at almost 11PM and on the following day at 06:40, interrupting my sleep).
Rooms were OK, the bathroom could use a refurbishment and the cleanliness needs an urgent improvement as I saw small cockroaches roaming about in the bathroom and also in the room. Also saw cockroaches in the Conference room of the same hotel.

No towels in the room. Asked many times and had to wait 2 hours and called again and then finally received the towels. The poor condition of the towels and the pillow cases was disappointing. I did not receive an invoice and requested it be emailed. To date I have not received this

Rooms were quite as clean as we are used to, but not bad, and the AC worked well. The staff was very friendly and helpful. And the food at the rooftop restaurant was excellent, with a great variety of options.
I’ve had the fortune of staying at Golden Tulip City Centre four times in the last 2 months, each time in a different type of room. Aside from small maintenance needs it’s a really great hotel, excellent value for money- especially because of the fantastic breakfast. The staff - Arunima, Shaghufa, Rosemary, and everyone in the restaurants - are wonderfully friendly and hospitable 💐- they all went out of their way to accommodate all of my weird requests. The rooms are very comfortable too. Great location, very close to a lot of restaurants and shops. Stones throw away from the SGR station and the ferry ports.
