What a lovely place to stay when visiting Peggy’s Cove.
We loved it here, quiet, peaceful, overlooking rhe ocean!
Staff was fabulous we had booked for one night and decided to stay another and were uograded to a suite at no extra charge.
Brekkie was full and wonderful. Rooms are clean and spacious.
Nice property excellent service good food in restaraunt and vey nice room.
Great waterside property, with rustic cabins and multi-unit buildings. Kitchenette was very well laid out and had all the things we needed for our short stay.
The Rhubarb restaurant is very close and has excellent food, spirits, beer and splendid staff!
We had a lovely night away from the city. The staff are very accommodating, and wanted to make our stay the best ever! Great price for a great room. They even gave us a free upgrade! We will definitely be back. One downside is the restaurant on the property is small and couldn't accommodate a table for us. We traveled into Peggy's Cove and ate a Shaw's seafood which was delicious seafood.
Beautifully situated right on the water. Cabins have wood stoves and amenities. Nice decor, comfortable beds.
The staff were amazing, rooms clean and so cozy. Absolutely loved it and will be back.
A beautiful setting, the cottage decor was perfect. I loved everything about the property.
Beautiful resort.
Very clean and nice room.
Very nice and friendly staff.
I would like to stay there again
Nice setting, quiet and good meal and service at the restaurant there. Ocean Vista suite bathroom in need of update and maintenance. Not appropriate for the rate being charged.
Great spot
Great setting and modern facilities; room was well-supplied and clean; bed was comfortable. Stocks of coffee etc. in common area were low.
Great location and beautiful, wooded property on oceanfront. But for us it was a mixed bag. Our first room (which tells you something) was beautifully decorated, and had a large deck with ocean views. But it was small; no room for a chair or to open up more than one suitcase. It was difficult to put on my shoes sitting on the overly tall, yet comfortable, bed. And the closet had only one hanger - probably just an oversight. We changed rooms because it was above the restaurant. It had a VERY strong pizza oven odor; so strong that it was difficult to be in the room and made my eyes water. And we could hear the drone of the kitchen exhaust. So the next day we moved to a different room in another building. There was no pizza odor, but the building was older. The room was bigger and had chairs, but it needed updating. The bathroom was clean, but the shower curtain was a bit musty. And the shower was a small stall, maybe 30 inches square. It was not nearly as physically nice as the first room. So each had pluses and minuses. The property has individual cottages too, but we did not see those. On a positive note, there were activities available on the property, from a fire pit to board games. And the on property restaurant, Rhubarb, which is independently operated, was excellent. But it does not serve breakfast. You can bring your own breakfast food though, and they have coffeemakers, refrigerators, and microwaves available.
beautiful setting. water was too cold to swim in but still lovely.
Beautiful location, spectacular view, nice walking area. The rurhbar resturant is excellent? Grat staff
Wonderful spot to stay!
Beautiful area, clean and staff very welcoming. Room was clean with ocean view. Restaurant served amazing food at resonble rates. Would definitely recommend to all!
We stayed at this hotel the weekend of a political convention and only booked a couple nights ahead, so we expected to pay a bit of a premium, especially given the hotels proximity to Peggy’s Cove. We paid over $200 for a one night stay. The service is excellent and the staff was very accommodating. The proximity to the very scenic ocean views are great. However, our room was one of the ones in the Inn and when we arrived at 6pm on a relatively mild day at the end of August, our room was very hot and stuffy. There were fans to help cool the room down, albeit slowly. Some of the plugs would not hold a phone charger in them....need to be replaced. The shower was very small. The toilet paper was 1 PLY (but felt like 0.5 ply). Not acceptable for spending more than $200 for one night. Also, both beds we had in our room were very soft and left us with sore backs for a day or two.
Nice secluded area. Very scenic and beautiful view of the harbor.
I wouldn’t call this a resort. It’s more of a group of cottages, one of which they turned into several individual rooms. The furnishings were nice shabby chic. Wifi worked fine. That is about the only good thing about my stay.
When I walked in the windows were open, probably to let the breeze in, but it also let in bugs. The curtains barely fit across the windows and left gaps. Since this room my room was right on the drive, this was a concern.
There is a room above the one I was put in that has wooden floors. I could hear every step that the people above me made, including what I’m guessing was a child running back and forth. Anytime they used water or the toilet, the water loudly rushed through the pipes in my walls.
The listing said that there was supposed to be a coffee maker in my room, which I would have loved when I woke up early to see sunrise. No one told me that the coffee maker was a shared one down a back hallway until I mentioned it at check out.
I wish I had kept my reservation elsewhere instead of booking at this “resort”.
