Woodlands Hotel, BW Signature Collection

Lovely hotel with very helpful staff,
The room was cosy and clean and the bed was comfortable,
The dinner was fabulous ( if you like fish get the sea bass ) and the breakfast was was of the nicest buffet breakfasts I’ve had as it was good quality and nice and hot,

Booked this hotel primarily because the pool. Unfortunately when we asked about using it the receptionist, they said there's a charge! For residents? Yes! Never come across such a policy on travels worldwide. Room also not great. Avoid

Great hotel for a night away. Went to Dundee for Ice Hockey game and stayed here for a couple of nights. Room was clean breakfast was good. Busy wee pool but still good to use.

As always the staff were lovely. Cheeriness was in plentiful supply. This was DBB & Shindig/Brunch deal. Well worth the money. Can’t wait for the 2026 event.

Second stay here. Bedrooms are great size , comfortable, warm and spotlessly clean. Food in restaurant was really good , staff are so welcoming and cant do enough for you. Receptionist was so lovely and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. Will return for sure

My Husband and I were meeting friends locally for a meal, and decided to stay here for the night. The woman on reception was very pleasant and friendly. Our room was not far from reception, just along from the pool and spa. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable enough. After our night out we returned to hotel and went to bed. My husband always puts his EarPods in and listens to audio books when going to sleep, so he was settled pretty quickly, however, when I tried to sleep I noticed a very loud humming machine like noice, at first I thought my husband had left the light on in our bathroom and it was the extractor fan, but it was not that. After about 10 minutes of this noise it seemed to get quieter, only to get older again 20 seconds later. I tried to find out where noise was coming from and it appeared to be from next door. I walked along to reception and asked the male night duty receptionist what the noise was. At first he told me it was the air conditioning, but I asked why that would be on in December, he then said it was the extractor fan from the gym, telling me it couldn’t be turned off 🤷‍♀️. I asked for earplugs, and was told they had none. I barely slept. The noise was constant all night, and, unlike a white noise, that could lull you to sleep, it was loud, then quiet, loud then quiet, all night long. When checking out, the receptionist did not ask how we had enjoyed our stay, and I did not say anything. So, a word to the wise for anyone checking in here, do not stay in room 100, as I think you are right next to a machine room.

We have just spent two wonderful nights in Woodlands. This was our fifth stay, over several years,
The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and well maintained. No trace of the dreaded black mould in the ensuite bathroom.
We particularly enjoy the pool which is also well maintained and has lovely, clean, changing rooms.
Every member of staff we spoke to was helpful, pleasant, and well turned-out. Infact,
we recognised many of them which suggests that they enjoy working there and it shows.
The hotel is ideal for enjoying Broughty Ferry town, with so many lovely independent shops and selection of good restaurants.
We always look forward to returning for another stay at Woodlands

First visit here my wife and i,reception saff very friendly .Our room on the first floor very spacious and cosy Large BED ,tea coffee etc but no complmentary water.Evening meal was outstanding everything that came out of kitchen was PIPING HOT breakfast buffet good with all eggs etc cooked to order.Down side bar area far to cold we seen other guests heading back to rooms for jackets or jerseys .Come on best W turn up the heating,so we can enjoy your bar, lounge area (COMPLIMENTS TO CHEF)

2 nights booked in this lovely hotel, enjoyed dinner, bed and breakfast there. Lovely room, helpful staff and great facilities.

November mid week deal- great value. Excellent food. Clean and spacious room. Lovely spa facilities. All staff friendly and helpful. Would happily return.

Beautiful, clean, smartly decorated room and bathroom (with shower) in an elegant hotel in quiet woodland surroundings. Convenient for the bus service into Dundee and walking distance to Broughty Ferry. Room and delicious food affordable, with single room a bonus as a solo traveller. Service was prompt and friendly. I didn't have time to try the spa, but it is popular with locals. The room, breakfast, and dining room were highlights.

Returned to Woodlands for first time in a while and again an enjoyable stay. Our standard double was comfortable, all staff we encountered were friendly and helpful, dinner menu did not look exciting but the food was very well prepared, tasty and reasonably priced. Breakfast was also good. We used the leisure facilities which is a small extra charge but worth it. We'll happily return.

Hotel is sitting a nice quiet residential area. Staff were friendly. You had to book a time slot for breakfast which we have never experienced anywhere before.

Spent a couple of nights here with our 2 year old grandson who thoroughly enjoyed his time in the swimming pool. We had a lovely big room and food was excellent too but
the best asset this hotel has is it's staff who couldn't do enough for you

Room was third floor too small with low bathroom roof , fixtures and furnishings old appears a little dated , spa was in poor condition , jucuzi out of use and changing area poor .
Staff were fine .

Very nice hotel,upgraded to a superior room,recently refurbished and very spacious and clean,very quiet,fantastic staff no waiting at reception,dining room very good,meal excellent,my only concern it’s up a steep hill and I don’t drive,beautiful views

Hotel was great. Staff so friendly. Worth paying for the leisure as it is great.

Was here for a wedding and it was lovely staff are so kind BUT the cleanliness of the hotel room was quite shocking. Towels were stained and had hair in them once unfolded. Bed sheets had marks on them and more hair was found under bed sheet.
