Helpful hotel - comfortable stay and good location.
Pros:

The hotel was conveniently located to where I needed to be on the north side of Mechelen, a bus dropped off just outside the door from the train station. The room was clean and comfortable. The design was sparse, but I was really looking for somewhere to stay the evening. The bed was comfortable and the curtains made the room go nice and dark.

In the morning, staff helped me print something before I left the hotel which was really helpful.

Cons:

The walls were quite thin and I could hear other doors slamming shut.

Cons:

Luidruchtig. Komt veel lawaai door de ramen. Heel veel last van de bovenburen. Een koppel met 3 jonge kinderen. Gaan melden aan de receptie s'avonds en zij hebben het opgelost. Verwarming in de badkamer werkt niet deftig dus koud. Zetel in de kitchenette was niet proper, kussens om op te slapen zijn niet proper, geen kleine handdoeken. Koffiefaciliteiten: 1 cup en 1 melkje per persoon, is geen service. Ontbijt: zeeer basic en niet ecologisch. Bij de koffie moet je cupjes melk nemen ipv een kannetje te voorzien. 1 soort pistolets, geen fruitsla, geen vers fruitsap. Afgebakken mini koffiekoekjes, potjes yohgurt...Stoelen maken heel veel lawaai als je verschuift, kan makkelijk iets aan gedaan worden.

een prima uitvalsbasis voor een bezoek aan Mechelen.

Het ontbijt ( al ligt m.i. de prijs aan de hoge kant ) , Een prima het zwembad en de ruime badkamer.

Having booked the 2 bed Suite for 2 Adults I was appalled and frankly disgusted that the Hotel wanted to charge 43€ to prepare the second bed. Nowhere throughout the booking process did it state that to use the second bed for the second adult there would be an additional charge.

If I booked a room with two twin beds and we were 2 adults would we be charged extra to make the second bed?

I have never seen this before and am frankly disappointed that the hotel nor Booking.Com state this UPFRONT. For this reason I would never recommend this hotel and makes me hesitant to continue to use booking.com.
