A gem in the heart of Alsace
Pros:

From the moment we arrived, the staff at Le Colombier set the tone for what would become an unforgettable stay. Every member of the team, greeted us with genuine warmth and an attentiveness that felt personal rather than rehearsed. Nothing was too much trouble. When we asked for help with restaurant reservations, they didn't simply hand us a printed list they offered thoughtful, specific alternatives when our original choices were not available. This is a staff that clearly takes pride in what they do, and it shows in every interaction.

The location is simply perfect. Tucked into the heart of the old town, Le Colombier sits just steps from the Petite Venise quarter. We had at most a three-minute walk to some of the best of Colmar's restaurants, and yet the hotel itself feels quietly removed from the tourist bustle. It is the kind of location you spend weeks trying to find and rarely do.

The hotel itself is a beautifully restored 15th-century building whose character has been preserved without sacrificing comfort. Our suite in the separate building was perfect – next time, with warmer weather, we look forward to enjoying its riverside terrace.

Pros:

Per chi cerca un soggiorno in una casa tipica nel cuore di little Venice e’ nel posto giusto. Ci è stata assegnata una suite al secondo piano, disposta su due livelli e mansardata, completamente ristrutturata, molto carina e silenziosa.
La posizione è ottima e centralissima.
E’ possibile prenotare il posto auto tramite la reception al costo di 30€, ma essendo arrivati prima dell’orario del check in abbiamo parcheggiato nel parking coperto più vicino, a 500 mt (€24 per 24 ore ).
La colazione era assortita e buona.

A beautiful, comfortable hotel that served as a home base for exploring the Christmas markets.
Pros:

Location was excellent for access to the Christmas markets. Warm and helpful staff. Very comfortable bed. The courtyard looked very inviting but it wasn't the season to enjoy it! Breakfast area, lounge, hallways, rooms all impeccably clean.

Cons:

We tried to park our car in the hotel's lot across the street. We rented the smallest car that we could at the Strasbourg railway station - small Peugeot. However, by European standards, it wasn't small enough and we couldn't fit it without multiple stressful T turns. So, we parked in the public lot, about a 10 minute walk. Given that it was the holiday, it was at times difficult to find a spot there, but we were ultimately able to each time we returned.
