Palacina is a secret gem of Nairobi, the staff is at the highest level of professionalism and the entire facility is a fairy tale.

Good location and very clean

This was a superb experience. We arrived late and they said “We notice you requested a room with a bath in your special requests on your reservation - would you like a free upgrade to the penthouse suite?” We were floored and found ourselves in a gorgeous big apartment. They also thoughtfully left us sandwiches as we got in after the restaurant was closed. There were also bottled water and cookies for us to share. They also carried our luggage up the stairs and gave us a personal tour of the property. And the prices are very reasonable. The neighborhood is tranquil and pretty. Glad to stay again if we return to Kenya someday.

Our experience at Palacina was exceptional. We are an US-based organization expanding our programming globally, and this was our first time bringing our program to Africa. In searching for a venue, we were hoping to find a place that felt both highly professional and deeply peaceful — and Palacina turned out to be a beautiful oasis unlike anything else we encountered in Nairobi. The property offers a rare balance of calm, greenery, and thoughtful design while still being capable of helping us to host a complex, high-level event.

Staff Responsiveness & Adaptability
From the moment we arrived, every request was met with warmth, joy, and a genuine willingness to help. We came with very detailed and specific needs, and despite this being our first time working together, the Palacina team embraced those requests with enthusiasm. They were consistently responsive to feedback, quick to implement adjustments, and remarkably flexible in accommodating non-standard event setups, unique room configurations, and last-minute changes.

Venue Capabilities
Palacina proved to be an ideal location for a multi-day program hosting 50+ participants across a variety of formats — larger plenary sessions, breakout groups, one-on-one meetings, and intimate gatherings. The property layout offers diverse and versatile spaces, from executive lounges, conference room, and the onsite restaurant to relaxed areas by the fireplace and poolside. Our schedule required frequent room resets, shifting group sizes, and evolving timelines, and the team handled it all smoothly and professionally. The variety of spaces allowed us to create both formal and relational moments without ever feeling constrained.

Food & Beverage Excellence
The food and beverage experience was outstanding throughout our stay. Meals were beautifully prepared and consistently delicious, and the family-style dining created an atmosphere that felt both intimate and exclusive. The team managed dietary requirements with care and precision — including gluten-free and dairy-free needs — and delivered equally excellent service for both casual meals and formal dinners. The quality and presentation remained high across every meal, which made a meaningful difference for a group gathered for long working days.

Operational Support
Behind the scenes, the operational support was impressive. The team handled complex rooming assignments to the best of their ability, frequent changes, and special accommodation needs with patience and efficiency. What could easily have become stressful instead felt organized, calm, and well-coordinated.

While our overall experience was overwhelmingly positive, we would offer two pieces of constructive feedback in the spirit of appreciation and partnership:

Digital / Time-Sensitive Responsiveness
In-person responsiveness from the staff was excellent. At times, however, digital communication during the planning phase (email and messaging) could be slower than expected, particularly when timing was important for international coordination across time zones. Faster turnaround on digital correspondence would make the experience even smoother for global groups.

Physical Accessibility of the Property
Palacina is a beautiful and serene property, but certain areas may present challenges for guests with limited mobility. Continued improvements to physical accessibility — such as ramps, clearer pathways, or easier navigation between spaces — would make this already wonderful venue more inclusive for all guests.

All in all, we had a wonderful time! Perhaps the most meaningful part of our experience was the sense of friendship. During our stay, a member of the Palacina staff shared that hosting our group had become a “core memory” for their staff — and we can sincerely say the same. Our time at Palacina has become a core memory for our organization as well.

Stayed here for a night during our honeymoon and the staff did an outstanding job making our stay special! The hotel was clean and beautiful!

Special mention goes to Patrick, Vanessa and Samson at the front desk for their welcoming and efficient service; to Lydia and Cyprian, who went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly; and to Jeremiah and Hassan from housekeeping, whose meticulous work ensured a consistently comfortable and pristine environment. Their dedication and hospitality made a lasting impression.

The location is another standout feature. Despite being centrally located, the property is set in a quiet, serene, and peaceful area that feels wonderfully removed from the city’s bustle, a rare and much-appreciated balance.

Palacina delivers elegance, exceptional service, and a truly memorable stay. I would highly recommend it to both business and leisure travelers and look forward to returning.

The residence is conveniently located in a safe area a short distance from Wilson airport.
I would recommend it for longer stays as the rooms are quite spacious, come with a kitchen corner, and guest ms have access to both outdoor and indoor pool (with the indoor one of a quite remarkable size)

The Palacina was an incredible stay. Would highly recommend. The service, location, and peacefulness made every aspect of my first time in Kenya superb. Grateful to Samson and many others of the team who made it a worthwhile stay.
