Checked in to a room that was overwhelming with the of cleaning solution. Complained and was changed to another room. Much better.
The Inn has character and history. Its convenient for walking, shopping and the onsite restaurant is excellent. The staff is friendly and very accommodating to your needs. I will definitely return and i would recommend the Irwin Inn to anyone that wants a relaxing stay. Its definitely not a cookie cutter hotel. Unique and lovely.
The room was cleaned with some type of cleaning chemical and left an overpowering odor, I could not open the windows to let the room air out. I couldn't stay the night and was refunded my room fee. The staff was nice and understanding.
Beautifully restored in historic downtown location with fine dining available. Some of the stairs need attention and the railings need a good cleaning
Property looked unique. Unfortunately my room wasn’t clean and didn’t look like it was maintained.
I accidentally went into the room next door, which my room key unlocked. My room key should not have had access to it, I was worried someone else would make the mistake I made but into my room.
Our room at the Irwin Street Inn was charming, a step back into the Victorian Era with lace curtains and scallop-bottomed shades and a claw-foot bathtub. The wrought-iron-framed bed was very comfortable. Our windows looked out to giant old trees that line the street. Very quiet. We were very pleased. There was a mini-fridge, but if you want a microwave and coffee maker, stay somewhere else.
Very disappointed. Had stayed there back in the late 80's. It has deteriorated badly. Hole in sheets, Screws sticking out of the wall, homeless guy sleeping in parking lot, curtains/valances missing, dirty cover on sofa, ball and claw tub dirty chipped and gross.
The Inn was dirty, old and decrepit. Bathroom fixtures old and cracked. Shower was warm at best. Not even a cup in the room for water. No where to get coffee. Homeless guy sleeping in the parking lot.
Run down. No amenities. No breakfast as advertised. Dirty.
Like stepping back in time...love the antiques
Beautiful property and no I did not experience any haunting like others have mentioned. I rented the suite which comes with 2 bathrooms, front room and bedroom. Furniture is vintage which adds to this vintage inn. They have a restaurant on site in the main building. You are in walking distance to many shops and restaurants in the area. My favorite part of staying here was waking up as the sun was rising through the lace curtains, hearing the birds outside and it being so peaceful and quiet inside.
Only negatives were that few items such as the ceiling fan was missing a blade and the spider webs, and would recommend wiping down the walls. Other than that there is a lot of charm to this place and I highly recommend you to stay here.
This inn was beautiful. Our room had the perfect victorian charm, the bathroom had a tub next to a stain glass window for a nice bath. Our room had a fridge, microwave, & TV. Inn was walking distance to downtown dive bars & restaurants. The hotel restaurant served delicious food, it was a great trip!
Sadly they have let the place go a little. It could have been quirkily charming but with missing handles on cabinets and broken armoires, it felt shabby. Great location and friendly staff though and dog friendly!
Love this historic place. Needs a little refreshing soon...(wear and tear). .
Beautiful historical buildings, wardrobe instead of closet, old bathtub with funny shower connection. Lot's of charm.
Commendations were picturesque, the food is excellent, the employees were very friendly and accommodating and quick to resolve any issues.
Overnight stay just to check out Hanford . Irwin st inn was as expected , very old and historic . Just what we were hoping for so was not disappointed.good location to wander around the small town centre . Lots bars and places to eat .would stay again
First time staying there, found it very beautiful! Awesome stay!
In its day, this facility must have been beautiful. However now it’s not:-(. The outside and grounds were ok but our room needed much needed renovation. We were only there for 1 night and glad of that. Hanford is a charming little city but unfortunately this gem from the past has lost its charm 🙁.
Old Victorian Inn with attentive staff and good food. Rooms are old, but quite comfortable, and every thing works as it should.
