A palace in the land of ice and snow.
Pros:

A great place to either begin or end your visit to Alaska and Fairbanks. Great reception staff who are very accommodating. The suites are fantastic, especially if you have spent time at the "hotels" in and around Denali ( the cruise hotels are wonderful, the ones on the outskirts are questionable). The restaurant is a good place to relax before a quiet night of rest. I can't say enough great things about this place.

Rooms including bathrooms were spacious and clean. Shower had grab bars.

Amazing Cozy Stay
Pros:

What a great cozy location. Never in my life have I seen such a cozy hotel. Super nice place, wish I had a reason to stay longer.
The staff here does an outstanding job keeping this place top notch. The front garden outside is incredible as well.

We stayed here post-cruise for what was supposed to be 2 nights. We ended up staying 3 nights due to a flight delay. The people working at Sophie's are some of the nicest, helpful people! They definitely make the place. The hotel is older but well-kept. The rooms are apartment style and come with full kitchens. Grocery stores are nearby. The rooms were very clean. Great on-site restaurant. Overall a great place and would definitely stay again! I should also say that parts of the hotel have been renovated, so lots of choices.

Beautiful place in Fairbanks

Great Place in Fairbanks
Pros:

The location is conveniently close to the airport and points of interest. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The room size makes it more like home than a hotel stay., and I am surprised how quiet it is here. The restaurant has the best biscuits and gravy I have ever had.
Would totally stay here again.
