Cons:

The room had spider webs and dust on the ceiling. Some bath towels were old, thin and stains. The rug felt sticky and moist. There was duct on the both side lamps by the bed.

Better bring your BIRTH CERTIFICATE
Pros:

We arrived June 24. 2026 after booking 4 rooms using our Diamond Choice points for our immediate family members--8 children age 28 months to 13 years old. Choice rewards rep took time in making sure we had exactly what we needed for our 3 daughters anf their families plus ourselves as we were heading back to WI from just having a few hours earlier barking my mother. We have numerous times had our adult daughters snc their families--all with different last names following their marriages--stay with us while traveling without difficulty. At 12:30 am when we arrived, unloaded all the children and headed to check in--the "front desk" said we could not check in using Choice points for more than 1 room because our daughters did not have their BIRTH CERTIFICATES with them to verify they were directly related to my husband. I asked the "front desk" multiple times to please call the hotel manager. He said he could not because it was after midnight but if our daughters could produce their BIRTH CERTIFICATES we could use the points and have the rooms--the front desk said it was Choice Rewards policy. After 15 minutes of trying to get some resolution after he continued saying it is Choice Rewards policy we left. But not before he admitted HE IN FACT WAS THE HOTEL MANAGER.
Drove another hour with a screaming baby, older children tired and crying to another CHOICE hotel which was totally flabbergasted by Mendota's manager's statement. Contacted customer service thru CHOICE rewards and they laughed at the BIRTH CERTIFICATE statement and were beyond apologetic at the manager's statement. And offered sincere apologies that this happened hours after burying my mother. Points are re-instated. But beware--if you're using point rewards at MENDOTA IL QUALITY INN & SUITES bring your BIRTH or consider driving on CERTIFICATE (even though Choice Rewards does not require anything other than the account holder being present).

No the best place to stay, needs updating and cleaning.
Pros:

Location and close to an excellent dinner with great homemade food.

Cons:

Windows dirty into pool, didn't look at all inviting. No hot tub. Overall didn't look clean. Back door to property was unlocked and didn't lock at all.

The room had funny smell and the bathroom was not great.I use this hotel Everytime I go to see my inlaws.I wish they can improve some of the things in this hotel ie bathrooms in the room,better bigger towels,fresh smell of rooms and warm swimming pool
