Room did not have a fridge and the pool and hottub were not open and that is frustrating when you booked a stay which had this as an amenity.
Got to the hotel, no elevator and they would not accommodate moving us to the main floor. My mom is with and can not navigate stairs very well at all. No pool or hot tub until further notice. Front desk was rude and unhelpful. Definitely our last ti e here.
There was mouse poop in the bed
the room needs a good cleaning, mainly the carpet. bed was comfortable
We had a good stay. Staff was very friendly and ready to help if needed.
Very nice and economical
The cost f the rooms were too high for what we received. They advertise a pool but it’s been out of use for a long time. The room smelled like dog and bathroom was not cleaned. The whole place is dated.
Broken items in the room, no fridge in room, pool has been out of service for months, and not much for breakfast
The pool and spa were closed when we got there. okay one of the reasons we booked it. It had a smell that was unbearable we left our window open all night and still experienced it. Turned on our super cool hot tub in our room and the hairballs started jetting out. Asked for compensation And was shut down Wish we could get our money back but not happening so all i can say is ick do not stay here
THE PLACE IS IN NEED OF AN UPDATE
My husband and I have stayed here twice over the last couple years. The staff is very nice and accommodating. However, both times the toilet was dirty and the seat was gouged up. Nice lodge decor and comfortable beds. But some updating of toilet seats is necessary.
the pool was closed since covid and they lacked amenities. No fridge no microwave. Its just a place to sleep basically. next time ill just go to the casino oh there pool is permanently closed also by the way.
Very friendly staff but deferred maintenance if facility is apparent. No hot water because if a broken water heater. Shower faucet dripping all night. Grounds are littered.
Great staff answered all my questions.
room was disquisting, dirty i would have left but i was too tired, i own a resort, and if my cleaners left a room like that i would fire them DO BETTER!!
Our room was perfect for us as I had a small dog and we were just a few stps away from the exterior door to outside which I really needed due to my walking disability. Staff was great and assited in every possible way to make our stay comfortable. We already made our Labor Day reservations and plan on making plenty of other reservations at the Moose Lake Lodge.
There were a several issues - 1) the keycard did not work 9/10 times without spending at least 3-5 minutes wiggling it; 2) toilet ran all night - they did come and fix for the second night 3) the refrigerator was the smallest I've seen in a hotel - especially in a "suite" 4) sheets and blanket were VERY old and thin 5) only one air conditioner in the main bedroom that did not reach the living area where my grandsons slept (uncomfortably) on the foldout couch 6) air conditioner leaked - soaking the carpet - they said it was because of the humidity, but it was not. 7) I asked for trash to be removed and bed made the second day and the pillows were thrown on the dresser and behind the TV - they didn't bother putting them back on the bed
I check in with Ann who tells me she doesn’t have my reservation because I booked through “Hotels.com” Ann then proceeds to yell in the back. Demanding I show my reservation which I did. She then “finds” a room for me but took 30 minutes. The side door doesn’t even have a door latch let alone ANY security to keep people out. I get to the room the refrigerator has black mold growing inside. The hotel has an unpleasant smell. The bed is “adequate” pillows are awful and the blanket thin and crusty. I didn’t use. I tried the “free breakfast” but the day old bread and hard bagels were unacceptable and they had watery instant eggs. The next morning I go speak the manager Kherson Sarvela and she tells me this is all my fault for booking through Hotels.com. When I told her Ann was speaking to me she informed me that since she wasn’t saying it to my face it’s acceptable. I had to be a work event and already paid so I stayed. The 2nd morning I get up and open the curtain and step in a PUDDLE of water ON THE CARPET ; The AC unit was leaking. When I go and tell the hotel clerk he tells me that happens. I said it’s a lot of water on the carpet (thinking this might be why I was coughing - I’m allergic to MOLD) he informs me it’s not his job. He works really hard being a front desk clerk and I can leave and never come back. The smell of people smoking marijuana INSIDE the building is everywhere especially at the front desk. Be safe! Don’t stay here!
Outside view was ok but rooms were dark and there was an odd smell.
