Comfort Inn & Suites San Marcos near Outlet Mall

My son forgot his expensive Sony headphones and 2 stuff animals in the room after check out and they kept telling me they didn’t find anything or turned in. Long story short they were keeping “stealing” my items and thought we left out of town (back home and not return) and kept avoiding us. Till my uncle that lives there locally went in and insisted to talk to “Ms.K” and nobody knew when she would go in (manager) but ended up being the “owner”. He made sure Ms.K called him once she got in and never did. The staff infront desk was shady and nervous with fear that they ended up calling him an hr later they all of a sudden they found them! Their story was they found them in a different box that nobody goes too. BS!! HORRIBLE staff and place. NEVER AGAIN!!

Breakfast was bad

Elevator was broken and there were no room on first floor.Have a bad knee due þo knee surgery. Carpet smells.

Rest Room was Very Poor. Lightening out, No wash cloths At all! No shower rug to stand on. Only two bath towels. Ac system Very loud. Holes in wall. WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN!

Que el personal de recepción no habla nada de español, y no tiene ni la iniciativa de ayudarte, muy mal los de recepción, ya e llegado varias veces a ese hotel, y la verdad los empleados muy bien, en esta ocasión no me gustó el trato, no les importas como cliente, el desayuno bien, solo que muy sucias las instalaciones de la cocina.

From the time I walked in the room until I left the experience was horrible!! From the stained vomit sheets to the roaches all over the bathroom and the none flushing toilet! This hotel was so disgusting and nasty!! The owner was RUDE not willing to refund me my money because I was there long enough for the front desk lady to move my room and when moved to that room it was worse!! Still bathroom covered with roaches and even worse the toilet wouldn’t flush! I was from out of state for my daughter’s college orientation and had no clue about the area and had to leave to find another room! This experience was so horrible I would never recommend comfort in!!

The only downside was there were a group of kids that had stayed, they were loud in the room, running down the hall and even banging on doors at 3am.

One of the lights above bath sink was out. Had to ask for towels from front desk the first day. Spotty WiFi. The room did NOT smell clean as advertised "cleaned with hospital disinfectant". Coffee maker was broke. When I talked to front desk at check-out, the lady was VERY passive and did not write down my concerns.

ROACHES, DIRTY CARPET, A/C HORRIBLE… called front desk to notify of roaches. Employee showed up with Raid and a dry wash cloth. No cleaner!! Said she was going to wipe the tub down with Raid and the cloth. I stated it would fume up once we ran the hot water to shower and she was so confused on why she couldn’t wipe the tub out with raid. Said she would get some cleaner and come back. She never retuned. They came really fast with the Raid so I’m assuming roaches is common problem for the establishment. I was completely floored by the Raid and wash cloth.🤯🤯🤯😡😡 Also, it states “outlet mall” in its name. That was one reason I chose it. Nowhere near…☹️ A/C horrible and the room was unusually humid. Overall trip ruined for my child’s TX State orientation. We asked to speak with a manager. Not on site. Stated they would call. Have yet to call.

We were disappointed that there was no breakfast available when we went to the dining area, despite it being advertised as included. I hope they improve their food service management for future guests.

During our stay on the third floor, we noticed visible damage to the flooring, which raised some concerns for us regarding the overall maintenance and stability of the building.

The shower area showed signs of wear, specifically with peeling material that needs maintenance or refurbishment.

The property is too old and needs repairs
