Such a great stay! Cabin in between rustic, not rustic. Cafeteria, gift shop and bar, very close. 2 minute walk. Beautiful view of the lake.
This was our only stay at a facility inside the park. The cabin was very small and offered no real amenities. The shower was small. The cabin needed to be renovated.
The cabins aren’t the best but location is amazing. That’s what you’re paying for.
We were excited to stay in cabins near the lake in Yellowstone. After speaking with 3 different staff members about dinner accommodations, I was finally told the dinning room was fully booked weeks ahead of time. Only onsite food options were mediocre burgers at the cantina or 3 appetizer choices at the bar. Nearest restaurant 30 minutes away. Stunning to me that they would book hundreds of guests while not having the ability to provide a meal for them.
We stayed at the Lake Lodge Cabin. The cabin is very small. Carpet is stained and you can hear the other tourists in their cabins. Dining room reservations were not available until after 9pm and you had to call way in advance. Lunch in the Lake Hotel was limited items and expensive. Well, everything is expensive just know that going in. Not too many places to eat and you are not to cook in your room.
A great hotel in Yellowstone.
I only stayed one night but the cabin I stayed in was clean, large and cozy. Although the cabin did get cold rather quickly (it was late Sep to be fair). The cabin did have a heater which partially warmed the room up. But by morning the area by the door especially became really cold.
Wyllie's canteen was good. The selection was pretty minimal but it was coming to the end of the season. Still was able to get a hot meal after a long day.
There is no wi-fi within the cabins but there is in the main lobby with enough seating by the fireplace to catch up on a few messages.
Staff are super friendly. The room was nice and clean. So neat that Elk and Mule Deer would be walking just outside our door. It was nice having laundry access but walking back to the car was very dark. It would be nice to have some outdoor lighting in the parking area but there may be a good reason for that. The food was just ok but not surprising from all the reviews.
Nice clean room. Beautiful area surrounded by water and elk. The food is just OK, but the fact that it's available in the hotel is super convenient. My only wish would be to have more coffee options.
Great place to stay in Yellowstone Park - super comfortable and less busy than other areas. Cabins are well maintained and heated.
Staff was friendly, awesome views. Lodge was cool.
Reserved this cabin on sale.
Good - location in park, price compared to other properties.
Bad - shower is ridiculously small, handrails at cabin entrance stairs were rotting, only one electrical plug (no other way to charge phones and camera batteries), carpeted floor was dirty, restaurant was terrible, overpriced, and out of about half of the menu items, paved surfaces in property had so many potholes it was difficult to drive or walk on.
Right in the middle of the park. A couple of days before closing for the season so cafeteria options and hours were limited. Views of the lake were beautiful and some walking paths in front of the property were nice.
no tv, no internet, no fridge. high price though low satisfaction. please, stay outside of park. it's not far from there!
Lake lodge cabins is a great property right in Yellowstone National Park. Its old but very comfortable. No TV, spotty Wi-Fi…. I love it. You and nature. The main lodge is quiet, cozy and comfortable. It has a general store and the restaurant has good food with the best view in the world, Lake Yellowstone!
They didn’t have many food options and didn’t even give you what you ordered. For the price it was terrible the burger was cold and dried up. They forgot the pepper jack cheese and when we said something threw provolone cheese on the plate and gave it to us. There was garbage and socks in front of the cabin. Mammoth Springs is a much better choice
We were very disappointed with the condition of the cabin during our stay. From the outside, it appeared extremely old and uninviting. The door was difficult to open, very old, and rickety. Inside, the paint in the shower was peeling off the wall, and the wood in the window frame was crumbling and deteriorating.
Considering the high price we paid, the standard of accommodation was unacceptable. We have never experienced such poor conditions for such an amount of money.
This place was awesome. Very dog friendly. Gorgeous views. Sunrises from the lodge porch were great. The room was very clean. Would definitely stay again
The lodge is across the road from the lake with trees blocking full open view of the lake. There are NO lights outside other that dim ceiling lights on the front porch, making it very unsafe at night time!
Steve at the check-in dest was VERY rude & condescending! So rude we will never stay here when we return to Yellowstone, if we do.
It's a lovely garage appartment
The room had everything we needed and in a convenient location for exploring the park. The only down side was the timing. Approaching the close of season the hotel facilities were running down and the food choices in the on site restaurant were almost zero by the end of our stay. A full menu was still available up the valley in Canyon though, just had to plan around it.
