I wish we had a better experience! First we went during winter break for school so it was at capacity, which definitely affected our experience.
Pros: water park and pools are great, convenient to airport and overall easy for families with kids
Cons: check-in they were disorganized, concierge seemed to not know as much as they should’ve and there were multiple back and forth correspondence just too book a massage, bathroom was not clean and room would use some updating for $1,500/night, we were out of our room from 8am-4pm and room was never serviced so we had to hunt for towels upon our departure the checkout agent so I’m sorry, but don’t make any other attempts. Lounge chairs are hard to come by, to get one by the kids pool we had to get up at 6am. You can reserve cabanas and loungers but none were available during our stay and we weren’t notified prior to our stay we needed to reserve ahead of time!
This was our second stay at Baha Mar and just don’t know if we’ll be back!

The food was not only great, but the service provided was phenomenal. Me and my family had an exquisite time. Ian, one of our servers, was very engaging and funny.
SLS over winter break and Super Bowl was a huge surprise for us for the better. We came with our two little ones and our nanny and while the hotel is great for adults they made our kids feel very welcome as well. No easy feat to cater to both worlds but they do so seamlessly and without alienating either side which I really appreciated. The service at the front is great as is front desk and all team members, genuinely hospitable and appreciative. Loved the numerous options for pools and activities right outside to try. Dinning we did perhaps best sushi rolls we’ve ever had at Katsuya and then Carne and a night over at Rosewood although SLS outlets were our preference. A thank you to the entire team for making this experience a memorable one highly recommended and we hope to be back.
Carna was delicious, definitely our favorite restaurant of the trip. It had amazing service all around! Our server Kenni was very friendly and helpful, she knew a lot about the menu and was able to help us out with allergies.
Absolutely positively top-notch! First of all, service was just outstanding. Julie Johnson, just one of the incredible people we encountered, was nothing short of amazing; in fact, we nicknamed her “Wonder Woman“. Food, drinks, etc. (avocado fries YUM, Fire & Ice cocktails were perfection). If we ever find ourselves back in the Bahamas, we would return enthusiastically. 10 out of 10.
We had the best experience! Renisha is the very best! Her customer service, impeccable. We celebrated my husband’s birthday and she made sure everything was perfect. Our room, absolutely beautiful! Everyone at the resort is so kind.
We treated ourselves to a cabana at the bungalow pool one day on our trip to Baha Mar and had the best time. Our server Jeffery was on it and treated us so well. He even played football with my son for 20 minutes at the end of the day when things slowed down. The cabanas are a stylish black and white stripe with loungers raised in a deck. They were some of the nicest I saw at Baha Mar.
I’m a very regular guest at BahaMar but usually stay at the Grand Hyatt. However fate (and a full resort) stepped in and led me to my first stay at SLS.
The SLS has a very young, hip, Miami Beach vibe - the decor is light and bright and trendy.
But what made the SLS stand out for me was the amazing staff and service. Special mentions to Khadijah on the front desk who welcomed me on check in and greeted me by name like an old friend every time she saw me. A real credit to the team.
Also special mentions to Andrew at the Bungalow pool who was managing the battle for the sun loungers with calm and grace. And to D (Danielle) my lovely server.
They were really nice and efficient and the food was amazing

Our dinner at Cleo was fantastic and our server (Kenny) made it really wonderful. He was awesome. Highly recommend! And if you’re lucky then you will also have Kenny take care of you!

Top notch service! Every day was crazy busy for breakfast at Cleo with varying levels of attentiveness by staff on the patio but Kirklyn bucked that trend on Feb 16 (our final day of 5) with 5-star service worthy of a shout out!
Stayed at SLS for a week while on business / leisure trip to the Providence Island.
Having been to the Miami SLS, I would say this is nowhere near. I would have expected a more adult, luxury, hip / chic experience.
Rooms: the decor and state of the rooms is tired / aging (spotty floors, aging furniture, bathroom looks tired). Some wasted space, and poor design decisions for furniture placement. Housekeeping was OK, with no consistency in either the quality or timing.
Service / concierge. Upon check-in, got a map, and not much else. Fortunately, had booked the dinners (as otherwise, would be impossible to get dinner). Concierge not really helpful with dinner bookings or anything (not even able to tell proper rules for pools).
Overall setting: immediately walking outside of the SLS elevator, you run into the busy part of the resort: Monkey Lounge + Cleo cafe + Casino. It's a madhouse during the morning and dinner rush hour.
Pool: just one dedicated SLS pool (sign says for SLS patrons only). But have definitely seen guests from other hotels there.
Despite SLS having an adult / chic type of reputation, you see a lot of kids. Unclear if these folks are staying at SLS, or just "visiting" from Hyatt.
I will definitely NOT stay at SLS during future visits. Maybe Rosewood, or one of the Atlantis hotels.
I can’t thank enough Mr Lenton Millen , Ms Christie Chipman for having made my stay at SLS one of the best memories of precious time with my children. Mr Millen ensured that we were fully looked after and comfortable. The support of Ms Chapman as a concierge was very professional and creative, while Dereka ensured that our check in and out was seamless - You all truly made this specific time in our lives one we will never forget.
